Jeep Safety

Quick questions...

Is there a law about riding with doors and tops off of keep with a child in a carseat?

Is it frowned upon to have your child in a carseat on the outer seat in the back while the doors are off?

If I get caught in a rain shower, how durable is interior on my 2013 sport?

Laws aside, raise your kid the way you want to, everyone else be damned. Mine grew up riding in topless/doorless rigs, getting wet when it rains., etc. FWIW, I see kids crying at the line going into rollercoasters or water slides, and I feel sorry for them and their parents. Here's what you end up with if you never teach them to fear:

I'm a carseat freak.
But I care for my brother who was in an accident 7 yrs ago and is severely brain injured (locked-in syndrome) ..so it's close to my heart.
4 door jeep- I keep the back doors on.
2 door jeep- I have set the rules and if they abide by them, we're good. If not, fun is over and we go home.

You can not prevent everything in life. But, cover basic safety and I think you're good.

I have to agree on all above. My actual fear is some crusading liberal cop, social worker or "concerned" citizen causing you crap over it. Location, location, location! My 9yo rides in my 2 and 4 door all the time with doors off, never had an issue around here. Now, my dogs... They are a PITA when i'm naked, they like to Ahem.... Socialize. Not a big deal but one is 175lb and scares the crap out of people. Big baby though.

Thanks guys for confident answers. I am the same way when it comes to raising my kids. I believe in giving them as much experience as possible to enjoy all the life they can. You never know when life could end and what a shame it would be for a kid to miss the awesome air blowing when riding naked in a jeep!

PS- my son loves naked and gets very disappointed when they have to go back on! He has a healthy fear but is all the boy you could want! Thank again!
