Could be lots of things...

- Could be someone using the same template

- Could be a pissed off member/ex-member who started the site to compete with this one

- Could be coincidence

- Could be a true copycat

There are probably 100s of forums out there implementing the same exact template as this one, right down to the colors. Granted, it's a little strange being as though it's another Jeep forum, but nonetheless, anything is possible.

I've joined a few different Jeep forums but this is the only one I really actually visit. As long as this forum stays consistent with cool people and good information, I don't really have a need to hang out a lot on the others or search for more Jeep forums to join.

Sorry you don't find JKs to be worthy of the Jeep name. Maybe you should go start your own site too so you don't have to associate with us inferior JK owners.

Judging from your sig, I'm sure you could give an honest review on the pros and cons of each of the models and why you prefer one over another, etc., but I won't lead into that question here because that would clearly be stirring up shit.

Anyone get a glimpse of his SN? He certainly doesn't have to strive to live up to it!

With no disrespect to the Sport owners but I love the fact he has a base model Jeep on 33s (I don't see too many mods mentioned in his sig) and has the nerve to bash on JKs.

Given that it's 9 years later, I'd be very willing to bet today's Sport will outshine his 2003 Sport in stock fashion, even though he has his big, bad 33s!

Things change, and for good reason. While I like all Jeeps, I certainly like having the same off-road capabilities and some added comforts. These are expensive vehicles, I don't see any shame, nor do I have any, in wanting some nice amenities in an expensive vehicle.

Nostalgia is powerful. Look no further than the Muscle Cars from the late 60s. Those Muscle Cars are put on pedestals, and when you see one, you immediately think, "I'll be that thing is fast as Hell," yet in reality, most of those infamous Muscle Cars would be hard-pressed to crack a 14.5 second quarter mile time in stock fashion; even the untouchable Hemi Cudas "only" ran 13s. The painful reality is that today's Honda Civic Si would chase down most of those infamous Muscle Cars. I imagine it's the same with the Jeep and any other enthusiast vehicle.

While I see a lot of JK bashing, I'm still yet to see anyone bring up any vaild point as to why a JK is worse than any previous model. Just because "soccer-moms" may buy them and never take them off the road doesn't mean they're not capable vehicles.

you are probably right, that site might not survive with forums like this, jeepforum, and pirate4x4.

I'll throw in here a little (even though it's off the topic) that we shouldn't judge the driver by its shiny vehicle. Just because I drop off my son at lacrosse practice in two-inch heels and a suit doesn't mean I'm not on the trails and in the mud getting my manicure messed up. We both just clean up really well when the fun is over.

As for a "copy-cat site", who cares? We're all Jeepers. Maybe they'll get some originality in time, but they're trying their own thing. I think support is great. Just because you help make someone else successful doesn't mean you aren't true to what you love. This forum only had a few members to start...

Personally, I prefer to see a nice, shiny Jeep over some mud-covered "sludge monster." I have no problems with getting my Jeep messy but I much prefer it when it's clean and shiny. I guess I'm supposed to think somebody's cool because he/she has a cruddy vehicle, kinda like the ricers in their Hondas that run around with their "drag racing chalk" on their windows bragging off the 14 second 1/4 mile they just cut...

I would take a ton of pride in stepping out of my Rubicon after a day of mudding and seeing absolutely NO paint...but I'm gonna wash it off as soon as I get home.
