Jeep Tattoo Poll

Hey everyone,

So I'm contemplating on getting my first tattoo, and being as passionate as I am about Jeeps, I want to include it in the design. After a couple weeks of design submissions on a nifty website, I've broken my choices down to three different designs. I like all of them, so I'm trying to get as much input from as many people as possible as to which tattoo looks best.
The tattoo incorporates a Jeep, windsurfing (life-long hobby), and my career logo which I am equally passionate about. The choices are as follows:

Design #1

Design #2

Design #3

#1 then #3

#2 doesn't have the tire and even though most would know what it is, I think it looks a bit incomplete without at least one tire touching the ground so to speak.

You have a lot going on there for one tattoo. A lot of things. U may really want to run it buy your tattoo artist. Who hopefully is a pro. I say this because I have many tattoos. Sleeved etc.

Can you tell me what you mean? A lot going as in...difficulty doing the tattoo itself?

I agree with him. A lot going on as in convoluted. It's a mixed message. Now at end of day all that matters is what you and if you have one your spouse thinks. But as someone who has multiple tattoos, including one I tried to put multiple ideas into, I say get 3 diff tattoos in diff areas. Cleaner message and you can devote a more unique image for each. Just my $0.02

But out of 3 I say number 1.
But I do think 3 tattoos would be better. Dunno your physique but the jeep on back shoulder, surf one on side of chest, and the other one inside bicep for example.

Hmmm, I see your point. It's kind of what I was going for though. To me, a tattoo is a conversation piece. It's all right if no one understands its meaning straight off the bat. Also, I want to be very conservative in terms of placement. Another hobby of mine is bodybuilding, and tattoos, especially in areas like the chest...I feel take away from the body's natural grooves and curves. They draw too much attention.
I'm only interested in the one shoulder. Maybe an inner bicep (although I heard those are painful as hell to get)

+1 on convolution. I would get 1 jeep/windsurf outdootsy tattoo (designed by your local artist, not a website, though an idea of what you want will help them) and 1 of my profession - that is your commitment to life and society. That warrants its own spot, yes? Or 3 spots, but I wouldn't combine all 3.

A good artist is key. Find a shop that doesn't do walk in "daffy duck" ink work. Find a place you have to wait a week at least and would eat off the floor. You're gonna have to give them a reservation charge for your appt, but it is to cover their design time and should apply to your tattoo. It should be equal to about a half hour charge. The rest should be hourly, and unless you know somebody a good parlor will run ~120$/hr.

Oh yea, it's addictive as sh......
