Jeep's Age in "People Years"

Like dogs and fine wine, jeeps age differently than humans, giving us a skewed perception of jeep age. But now there's a formula to tell us how old your jeep is in "people-years".

Take the mileage on the jeep's odometer and divide by the model year. The result is your car's age if it were a person.

Mine: 135k on a 1995 = 67.67 years old.

How old is yours???

Ok which one of you did your math wrong? You cant get the same number with different years and the same milage.

I did the math...it's right, still doesn't look right when you just look at it.

With this formula, even a 2008 jk with 150k on the clock would be 75 years old...

Indeed. But I do see the point though. A 2008 with 150k would be beated to feel 75yrs old. 150k in a year or less....that pony got rode.

108k on a 99

i think the formula should be like ex my jeep is a 1999 with 108,000 miles the formula should be 108/10 seeing as my jeep is 10 years old with 108k miles..

Ha! My '93 YJ is older than my '51 Willys! The YJ has over 203,000, and the Willys speedo was stuck at 35,000 when I restored it... guess that means it died and was reborn as an 18 year old!

Damn, my truck was 139 when I sold her. 94 Ranger with 279k miles and she still ran like a champ. Who says Ford sucks?
