Jim, Tom, whatever... John.

Did anyone else catch that Obama keeps calling McCain by the wrong first name? Think he's doing it on purpose?

He may be doing it on purpose or he may be getting mixed up on who he's supposed to be talking to, John McCain or Jim Lehrer.

Now Obama is playing "One Uppies"

"I got a bracelet too!"

Well so do I. But it means more to me than an icon for being better than the other guy.

And damn, McCain just said the Iranians have a Crappy Government therefore they have a crappy economy... Um... We do too!

Damn...

I'm noticing Obama's not smiling hardly at all. McCain is smiling every chance he gets.

Though, notice, Obama has lost that annoying Um Um Uh Um Uh habit he had while he was talking.

Yes, Obama is talking a bit better but he's coming across as angry and maybe even arrogant. McCain seems calm, even if he is rambling a bit at times.

I'm tickled. I think McCain's had a great showing and had some very poignant things to say, as had Obama. Obama however has spent a little too much time talking over McCain, who just smiles it off. I like that. Obama seems a touch annoyed.

And by the way, I think they both look great. I'm surprised because I think running for Prez damn near kills a person.

I agree about Obama talking over McCain. That's irritating me.
They do both look good. I think McCain looks better because he's calm and has been smiling, like you said.

I saw Former Pres Clinton earlier. Wow, he has really aged. I know being President takes a lot out of the person, I just hadn't seen Bill in a while and was surprised at how old he looks.

They say that a President ages about 2-3 years for each year in the White House. Seems pretty accurate if you look at before and after pics of the presidents!

I REALLY wanted to see this debate. I was really looking forward to it. I layed down on the bed to watch TV and PASSED out. Can't find a video of the debate anywhere on the web yet If anyone comes across one, either a full video or groups of them, please post links.

McCain's a seasoned combat vet, one thing we all have in common is we usually smile when we pull the trigger

My work here is done...

Wait, waht? Dude, it's a joke.
Vote Palin/McCain. If nothing else, we need the judges desperately!! We barely won Heller and that should have been a no brainer.

I liked very much that he openly smiled while Obama smirked. We are human after all and body language and looks play a great deal in our sub-conscience decision making. It was funny because I heard over and over again McCain was going to look ancient next to Obama and it didn't happen. I thought visually they both looked great.

McCain said more of what I wanted to hear, and Obama seemed to back track on some of the things he had stated he was against before. However, I personally thought they both did well and there was no AH HA moment the media was hoping for. I'm glad for that.

The wifey and I watched a movie instead.

I figured there was no need for me to watch. And she snored through most of the movie anyway.

She was still coming out from under the anesthesia.

I tried that with Amy but she figured out what I was up to when I asked her if the rag smelled like chloroform...

I disagreed with Obama on many subjects, and honestly, he just seemed plain rude to me. Everytime McCain said something about him, he would shake his head or try to argue with him. When Obama attacked McCain, he just sat there and smiled lol.
Also Obama was a great speaker, but I believe in McCain.

I did not watch the debate because it was on a friday night and I already know who I'm gonna vote for so why waste my time? Instead I went out and got drunk. At least I have my priorities right

More on obama's me too crap.

Quote:
By Warner Todd Huston (Bio | Archive)
September 28, 2008 - 03:53 ET

Barack Obama played the "me too" game during the Friday debates on September 26 after Senator John McCain mentioned that he was wearing a bracelet with the name of Cpl. Matthew Stanley, a resident of New Hampshire and a soldier that lost his life in Iraq in 2006. Obama said that he too had a bracelet. After fumbling and straining to remember the name, he revealed that his had the name of Sergeant Ryan David Jopek of Merrill, Wisconsin.

Shockingly, however, Madison resident Brian Jopek, the father of Ryan Jopek, the young soldier who tragically lost his life to a roadside bomb in 2006, recently said on a Wisconsin Public Radio show that his family had asked Barack Obama to stop wearing the bracelet with his son's name on it. Yet Obama continues to do so despite the wishes of the family.

Story Continues Below Ad ↓

Radio host Glenn Moberg of the show "Route 51" asked Mr. Jopek, a man who believes in the efforts in Iraq and is not in favor of Obama's positions on the war, what he and his ex-wife think of Obama continually using their son's name on the campaign trail.

Jopek began by saying that his ex-wife was taken aback, even upset, that Obama has made the death of her son a campaign issue. Jopek says his wife gave Obama the bracelet because "she just wanted Mr. Obama to know Ryan's name." Jopek went on to say that "she wasn't looking to turn it into a big media event" and "just wanted it to be something between Barack Obama and herself." Apparently, they were all shocked it became such a big deal.

But, he also said that his ex-wife has refused further interviews on the matter and that she wanted Obama to stop wearing the reminder of her son's sacrifice that he keeps turning into a campaign soundbyte. This begins at about 10 minutes into the radio program

Obama does better speaking when he has what he is going to saymemorized and he was very rude to call McCain John throughout the whole debate while McCain called him senator Obama the entire time. Also, people need to understand that lour economy has its ups and downs for a reason it has to balance out we can't have an awesome economy all the time. People need to get that through their heads that the president can only do so much to make a difference in the economy. Ifind it funny how McCain wants to get things done and Obama want to do nothing but debate and then he rushes to Washington and makes up a fake deal so it makes it look like he did something before McCain. It's quite pathetic. Everything the liberal media does seems to backfire on them anymore and i find it hilarious.
