Just how I feel.

I realize there isn't much I can do to actually affect any of this, But I figured it's a start. Believe me folks I am not like this. But this situation is becoming a BIG problem. Especially to OUR wildlife.

I'll just be glad when Hayward (BP CEO) can get his life back. Sheesh!

Even if it does, to me that's a small price to pay over the scheme of things.

It's just terrible what's happening and it seems that they are not acting with any sense of urgency.

I'll bet if this mess wan on the shores of the UK they would be on top of it.

I'm sorry daan.. for the residents of our coastlines and for the whole situation.

That $h*t is really pissing me off too Dave.
Everytime it comes on the news and I see that crap,
I have to change the channel.
SERIOUSLY...IT MAKES ME THAT ANGRY!
Good job flying your flag on your Jeep!

its really really bad you guys, look deep into some of the issues. A mile under they are trying to slow the leak and cap it off. The more pressure they start to cap, the more it pushes new spouts up through the ground under the sea. They're going to need to plug that well a thousand more feet down from the bottom in order to stop the leaking. Think about it, its like putting a hose under the sand blowing upward, if you cover the leak, it will push its way back out somewhere else. The hose would need to be shut off at the begining which happens to be another 3,000 feet below the sea floor which is already 5,000 feet down.

They've involved scientists from around the world. BP, Amoco or anyone... no matter who it happened to, it happened, and the world is trying like hell to get it fixed.

Im pissed about the managment knowing something was wrong and no one listening to them. The guy who went home on break and wrote his will + got everything in line to pass-on with his wife. He knew it was bad, and no one listened to him. Now we are screwed... and of course we can't just "fix" something that has never happened before. Its like testing a prototype, there is no instruction manual or tried an true processes for resolution. They are pioneering a whole new set of fixes for something that will probably never happen again.

Even being pissed off, we need to help. I used BP on my latest road trip. We are all in this world together, the way I see it is "they need all the money they can get right now". Encouraging people to not use BP won't get the damn thing fixed any faster. At least thats my technical approach.

I keep wondering if the sea will turn into a burning mass of fire. As for blame there is plenty to go around. As for BP profits.. I have no problem with profits.. that is a good thing.. but with that comes knowing how to fix or make sure your stuff is safe. The feds could have done a better job as well, they delayed things the states wanted.

...thats huge... Im sure my 2.00 bucks profit from fill ups would'nt really make a lot of difference. But hell, it will buy one bottle of dish soap to help clean up some animals or something...

What a cluster, I can only imagine the stress involved in trying to fix something so huge.

I don't think your wrong, people need to have an awarness of whats going on. Your helping to spread the word. It may be by saying BP sucks, but it still brings attention to the matter.

I did not start this thread to cause antomosity. I just wanted to let others know how I feel. Instead of keeping it to myself. I felt that I did not want to be like the rest. Go to work, come home turn on the news and watch. I want to do somthing. Just don't know how or where. but if I do come up with a good solution I will let you all know.
