Just met the biggest d@#k Corvette owner

Hanging out at the Tacoma waterfront, I pull in and see a nice black C6 ZO6. Tried to say hello to the driver and what a fu@#$*g DOUCHEBAG he was. Some punk azz who wouldn't give me the time of day because I rolled up in the JK. What a D@#K!! This is even AFTER I showed him a pic of my Vette. I guess some people are just born azzholes and never outgrow it.

So for all the Jeepers in Washington, if you come across this azz-clown say hello for me.

ps..... In 6 years of owning 2 Vettes and a Porsche, this is by far, the absolute BIGGEST azzhole I have ever come across. Just like the Jeep community, the Corvette community is supposed to be a brotherhood. Obviously, he knows nothing of the comraderie associated with the Corvette family.

I have a good feeling he was a young guy. I used to live in Branson, MO and worked at the Starbucks on the main strip (now I'm in Columbia going to Mizzou). Anyways, being a tourist town there were plenty of the cliche time-share selling cockbags and they allllll came to Starbucks. Long story short, one young guy saved up all his cash, bought a Z06 (I don't know much about Corvettes) ran from the cops and got away, the very next time he drove it he got spotted and got it impounded. Just thought I'd share. On the other hand there was an older man that drove one, really nice guy and always tipped well. I think its just the ego trip some people go through. Call me a simpleton but I just don't get peoples obsession with speed, so what your car can go faster than the speed limit! You'll only get tickets for it.

Well, blow me down- I've had 6 corvettes and the "C" clan is tighter than the TJ/YJ/JK clans-

The only thing jeeps saw of me were my taillights and jeeps weren't even on the "acknowledge" menu !!

Yea, my vettes were yellow too

Heh Heh, well the first 5 were sold for either another vette/muscle car or Dodge Ramcharger and the last one a yellow 1993 was totaled in a spin, headon with an 18 wheeler-

A guy in a Porche (racing) swerved me into a turn lane and the next thing I knew I was eating an air bag--

Having been a wreck pro !--I had a 5-pt-harness in this vette also, so the only thing damaged was a slight burn, from the air bag--Lotsa CHP and ambulance-towtruck and I didn't need any ofem-

My 62 Vette (ducksass) they calledem, was a very hot modified 301cuin fuely and I almost killed myself in that one--

So my family was happy when I got a batch of money from the wrecked, 93 vette and I bought a 4x4 Ford Ranger-great truck, but SLOW, probably a good thing !!

This was a 426 "hemi" Plymouth CUDA, never wrecked it--rare

No more vettes-

Yeah, he was about 30. What kills me is, I even told him I met Dick Guldstrand and designed the Corvette GT2 Guitar graphics for the Corvette GT2 guitar Dan Fastuca used to play the National Anthem at Mid-Ohio, in 2009. I mentioned my runs at NurburgRing, HockenheimRing and tapping 191 mph on the A5 in Frankfurt. He just looked at me and was like "Whatever dude. As I said, I don't see a Corvette. All I see is a Jeep."

Oh well. A first impression is a lasting impression and my impression was, he was a pathetic douchebag.

Hahahaha. When he got out of his car, as if he were going to be a bad-ass, I said "All I am trying to do, is say hello to another Corvette brother and you are acting like a d--k about it" and then I wanted to put finger prints on his car. Hahaha.... Oh well. He is what he is.....

I'm only going to get myself in trouble with this thread...but whatever:

I've had tons of people try to initiate conversations about my Cutlass...particularly when I was driving it on a daily basis. While never rude, I rarely gave the conversation much fuel. While I'd occasionally get people who either had some intelligence on the vehicle or were genuinely interested in learning...most just wanted to talk about themselves...their own cars - even if they hadn't had anything similar in 30 years. You can start to understand why beautiful women blow off so many guys whose first words are "wow you're pretty"...the compliment seems hollow after hearing it so often...same thing with the car...after hearing it so often, it goes in one ear and out the other.

This guy...I'm not sure why you were so keen on impressing him. All he did was take out an $80k loan...doesn't take any talent to do that. With the stuff you've mentioned, he should be the one trying to impress you...

Bubba, no worries. For me, it was just expanding the brotherhood. Just a spare moment to say hello and share a story or two. Nothing different when Jeepers get together. What irritated me most was his straight out rude behavior to someone just being friendly. Since I got my Vette 6 years ago, I have met at least 100+ Vette owners from the forum alone, in several different states. When I moved here, within a week or so, I met another forum member who I never previously met and just met up for lunch. Since then we have met up a few times more to include racing at the track. 11,000 miles away, I met a total stranger who saw me in my car and asked if I was "GR8WHITE", shocked, I asked "How did you know?" He said "Dude! I recognize your car from the forum!!" So, for me, it was a brotherhood greeting. And to me, a car enthusiast is a car enthusiast, regardless of ride. I can always learn something new and if not, at least I made a new friend. Obviously, this experience today was quite the anomoly.

I don't have a vette, but I do have a LS1 with ram air in my trans am, and I'm going to say it, driving the Jeep over things is more fun then accelatoring fast.

my dad has an unrestored, mostly original 59 Vette. it's got 83,000 original miles and it pretty much as delivered from the factory.
every cruise night we go to, you get some douche who will stand there with their buddy and pick it apart. "this is not original, that is not factory", of course NEVER to your face. you know what buddy? F you. most of these guys weren't even ALIVE in 1959, much less even seen what the original parts look like.
i have met a few really cool vette guys (most of them have modded vettes to suit THEIR tastes, my dad's taste is stockish) but i've met some of the biggest a-holes driving vettes.
you want to really piss off a snooty vette owner? blow his doors off with your 55 chevy "family car".

Definitely! More people stop and talk to me when I have the vette than my JK.

I love my yellow vette.

My best friend in high school drove a vette with wood paneling stickers on the side. Girls weren't impressed when they saw it was a chevette.

I had the same problem back when I had my Pontiac Fiero. It was supposed to be a brotherhood as well but I ran into a few dorks too.

I know quite a few dick vette owners, and a few that are nice guys. Of course the same is true with P cars...

The Corvette is the old white guy car. Any time you look in one, you'll notice one thing...its an old white guy. (this is completely true 90% of the time). I find it funny.

u sure about that? those things are so cheap here, kids are starting to get them (thus ruining my hypothesis) The theory that a current Vette holds its value well is faulty.

Send me a link to a 20k Elise/Exige. I'll buy it and sell it. (unless its salvaged title, as anyone who knows anything about those cars doesn't want a salvaged one)

30k is and has been the "standard" for about 3 years (+/- 4k usually)

Vette's are not the same...comparing the two is like apples and oranges...compare vettes to mustangs and you'll be closer.

And C5 Z06's are rather cheap....
