Just sorta Thinkin'

So about a week ago i found out my 20 year old brother is flying the coup in mid- may. We live in northern IL, and he and his GF and moving out to Rhode Island to go to school together. So after him being around for the previous 17 years of my life he is moving out. strange feeling. Today my sister talked to my aunt in very south Texas. Good chance she will be moving there, probably before summer starts. Even weirder. But anyways just sorta strange thinking that i'll be the only one of us 3 kids around my house. And not only that but also how quickly it is probably gonna go from 3 to 1. That is all, i just felt like sharing.

However it will be nice to have free roam of the house haha

Free roam of the house and you said your sisters Jeep couldn't make it far so that means she might have to leave it behind!

Parents get that same feeling too. "empty nest" Its a bummer when the kids leave, the house gets quiet and a little bigger somehow. Its almost like the echo in an empty room.

I remember when my brother left
the thoughts kept going through my head about our child hood and how we use to play together all the time. But hey, change can be a good thing.
Believe it or not, when my siblings and I all went to college, we have become closer

It feels weird living with my parents when my younger sister is living in Phoenix. Weird and aggravating because it has really hampered my social life, and my best friends live more than 90miles away... but I'm doing the right thing and helping my folks during tough times. And enjoy it while you can, having personal one-on-one time with your parents will be missed when you leave.

yeah i hear you on the whole living with the folks hampers the social life! although as much as i am dying to leave home, i know i got to suck it up till i am done with school, it is so practical from a financial standpoint, no room and bored or rent, i just help out round the house, clean, cook, take care of the cars!

and nvr enough, it will be good for you, you will learn to appreciate your brother and sister. its just part of life, and its only gonna be as good as you make it!

School was an after thought for me. My dad is disabled and my mom just lost her job a week ago. So it's just me working 2 part time jobs trying to make ends meet. I could have done things differently a few years ago and moved out and started back up at school, but I'm pretty sure my parents wouldn't have a house if I did.

wow man, sorry to hear about all the bad news! i was gonna buy a house in 07 but decided to hold off, then i decided to go to college, bein 21 figured it would be kinda hard seeing as i had accumulated some debt. sold all my shit, payed my loans off with all my money, now i just go to school and work when i can. my parents seem to do fine. but its a bummer being broke all the time. i can only imagine your situation! good luck with that man and again sorry to hear about your troubles.

why just two part time jobs? are you still in school?

Living in a smaller town(15k people), it's all that is available right now. Good thing is, they are both at Home Depot. But it sometimes makes for a very long day!
