I rotate these two as my EDC. I'm not into the big folding knives so these ones work just fine for what I need. I love all the uses of the Swiss and just like the quality and functionality of the case

My main one is the Spyderco Military.

Have a ton of other knifes and that one is the newest yet the blade looks to be littered in little rust specs. What would you guys recommend to safely remove these without destroying the finish on the blade?

EDC is a Benchmade Auto Stryker Mini. Second one, first one was lost off my wife's jK spare tire. Oops. Love the quality of a Benchmade and the customer service is great.

I'm not too sure what you can use to remove them.. But just keep it wiped down and dry. Keep a light coat of oil on it such as olive oil or rem oil. Or if you have a tube of Chapstick, put some on the blade.

You can also use silicon. When I was in the Navy as a rescue swimmer, I kept my dive blade covered with a light coat of silicon. Even after complete submersion in salt water it is like new. Works perfect, just have to re-apply if it's rubbed off in your pocket.

Great tip. If it holds up to salt water it will hold up to anything.

I had a Nepalese Kukri that was given to me as a gift. It wasnt too big, so I always took it whenever I went canoeing or camping, and just about any other outdoors activity you could think of. I lost it about 6 months ago in the Wekiva river when my canoe flipped over and I could hear hissing as soon as I hit the water. Easiest decision ever.

I have a large collection of custom knives but my go to carry knife is a Spyderco Military. The one I have is in S30V with the Orange scales. I usually wear 5.11 Taclite shorts or pants and this fits great in pocket on the right leg.

For dressier occasions I have a Wharncliffe Trapper by Reese Bose. Mine has blades of 440V and maroon Micarta scale.

I keep this one in the Jeep for all around use, also attaches to a pack or my belt with a Teklok

That's cool. How long have you been making knives? What kind of steel do you use? Do you do the heat treat yourself or send off?

I'm very new, my brother and a friend are really into it. They send out blades to get heat treated. I'm really impressed with Kydex, I'll never buy another holster and sheath again!

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet but my leatherman is always attached to me and I always keep a cheap assisted open knife on me, I buy them for $7 and go through about four a year so not too bad for everyday abuse I consider them disposable.

I'm selling my Sebenza 21 small plain if anyone is interested. $300, birth certificate Jan this year. Going through a divorce so rather sell than risk losing to her. I'll buy another after

EDC for me is a gerber diesel. I like the one hand operation and of yes it is a mulititool go ahead and let the flogging begin. One knife that truly impressed me was a spiderco. I found one with a metal detector that must have been buried for years. At first I didn't know what make it was. Blade was stuck open and just rust. I soaked it in a rag with wd40 a week later cleaned it up and bam perfect knife. Just goes to tell you about Japanese steel.

Each state is different, but generally they must first meet the definition of a "knife". For instance, in Colorado, a "knife" has a blade longer than 3.5 inches and a "switchblade knife" is a knife whose blade is deployed with pressure applied to a button or spring. Anything under that length does not qualify as a knife and is completely legal to carry concealed and use openly, no matter how the blade is deployed. There are case studies that support this.
