Hartz pet products came out with the Crunch & Clean biscuits. It was a new product. They were really impresses with how focused Leo was and the fact the flash didn't bother him.

I explained that he constantly has a shotgun fired next to him so a camera flash is nothing. Lol, they treated him like a star, he had his own assistant that brought him treats, water and walked him every hour for a potty break.

The photo shoot was in the same studio Brittney Spears did her CD cover shoots in. My daughter loved that!!

They wouldn't allow us to take any inside the studio. I have a couple of my daughter standing outside the studio by the name, Siren Studios.

My black lab had to have her ACL repaired two weeks ago. Anyone here ever had a dog with a repaired ACL? It seems like it will be a long process, and I hope she gets back to being able to run and jump around like she always has. She will have to be leashed walked for the foreseeable future.

Haven't had it happen but I've heard it really helps them was it pretty expensive?

It wasn't that expensive. Since she was under 60 lbs. the surgeon recommended the standard surgery which is where they take glorified fishing wire and weave through there. The TPLO surgery is where they put plates and screws in so that one is expensive. I live in north Alabama, and the surgery itself was $525.00. It came out to $1,003.00 total for X-rays, pre-op visit, medicines, etc. Not as bad as I was thinking. I didn't even know they did ACL surgery on dogs, but I hope she gets better fast. It can be a long recovery.

My female Yellow Lab had ACL replacement a couple years ago. My Vet had to do it twice, the material he used the first time failed after 10 weeks. It was a new filament line that was supposed to be great, yet it didn't hold the joint tightly and she had a very loose joint and pain. My Vet is also a friend and he was so upset, he felt bad and was livid that this happened. I in no way blamed him, it was just an unfortunate thing.

I kept her crated for weeks with just little walks to potty and eat. I actually had a physical therapist come and show me some exercises for her to get full motion again since the leg has so much trauma from two surgeries. I iced it for her and then applied heat every evening after her exercises.

I still have a couple exercise instruction sheets I would gladly scan and send you if you like. Just PM me an e-mail address.

If you follow your vets instructions and keep her down as long as possible I'm sure it will heal nicely. I think the important thing is to keep them down at first and then get them to gently use it so it doesn't get too stiff. Good luck to you, it's tough keeping a dog from playing, especially a Lab

We named him teemu because it is a cool name and my dad likes it. My neibors dog is named Gretzky which is the last name if a fantastic hockey player who played on the kings.
I just took my lab on his first 4x4 trip in the Jeep. He was a wussy the first half tryin to be a lap dog as I drove stick, then after he realized there were dogs in other jeeps he decited it was cool.

My boy Charlie is a 4.5 year old yellow lab and he thinks he's human too. Don't have any pics on the phone but I'll get some up soon. He loves the Jeep.
