That's gotta suck. Sorry man. Kinda makes you want to go out with a machine gun and kill hundreds of people. That way there would be a few more jobs available. j/k

24 years old. 5 years combined retail experience in recieving/stocking/sales/and delivery. 4 years at target. 1 year at a auto parts store. Summer and Fall 2006 worked at a restraunt as a dishwasher... that in short is my work experience.

Seems like you should be able to get a job at a parts store. Do you have a super walmart near. Stocking job there? I know that it would suck but how about delivering pizzas? McDonalds or other fast food places?

haven't seen any parts stores hirring other then pep boys and the rejected me. Walmart is one of the places I expect to get rejected by tommarow as I have applied there. Gonna call a major grocery store tommarow that I applied at.. they will be my second rejection tommarow. haven't seen any hirring for fast food. Applied at a sporting goods store on monday and am gonna call them friday.. I will likely get rejected from them as well..

Don't go into things expecting rejection. I can't imagine that it is easy but you have to try to have a positive attitude. Yeah I know "I'm positive that I'm gonna get rejected" Not that kind of positive. How 'bout security work? Doesn't take much in the way of experience with some of them. It's what I do. This is the easiest job I have ever had. Pay sucks here but it is a job.

95% of security work requires a certificate of graduation from a security officer training course to which cost money I don't have.. and as to the negativity.. After being rejected the stupid amount of times I have in the last 6 years it's become difficult not to.. If I get a interview I never go into them with a negative attitude but understanding based on my history that I will likely be rejected keeps me from getting to high on myself and depressed when I do get rejected...

Gee I got lucky then. Neither of the security jobs I have had required any certification. The first one was an armed security position. Made good money there but had to move out of state.

oh geeze armed security.. thats a whole different level of cost and training then there's the whole getting your hand gun permit in nys.. um getting a permit to own let alone carry a hand gun in nys is like trying to throw a whiffle ball 5 yards into a 50 mph wind. Next to impossible

Didn't have to have any of that stuff. Filled out an app., showed up for 4 weeks of training, got uniform duty belt and body armor then went to work. On a military installation. Easy peasy. You need to move to another state. Oh and no cost to me. I got paid while I trained.

Yup, meeting at 7:15AM, then off to your assigned coner. Late day today, two hours of night practice from 7-9.

I agree, I love the cool nights.

Any chance you will be able to get one of your Jeeps running soon?
