Word. It's even worse in Mental Health - and Mental Health is EXPENSIVE! I'm pretty sure it costs "people" two to three times as much a night to be on my floor than a medical floor with a serious medical problem.

I put quotes around "people" because it's almost never the actual pts. that are paying for any of this. It's usually some county or state funded program that pays for everything for them.

This is the worst of all of them though: Homeless people

EVERY winter, without fail, we CONSTANTLY have at least ONE homeless person on our unit that claims that they're suicidal so they will have somewhere to stay and get a free bed and meals. They'll usually just tell the doctors they're suicidal until they feel like leaving - being as we can't legally discharge someone if they claim they will hurt themselves or others. And they never pay a penny for any of it.

Where was that mentioned? I think was implied that is the current state and the alternative was to provide jobs and no welfare.

In what context? A metaphorical between parties or between citizens and parties? Or literal with parts of country seceding and physical war?

The original contacts was they were talking about the popular vote and how was split down and we might see some sort of Civil War then about 45 seconds later after bunch of other things were said they change it too we will see a civil war within the Republican Party

DO IT! Sounds good to me!
My Dad is getting a hold of a BUNCH of scrap steel and maybe even some plates/sheets and tubing. I guess he knows a guy that he can get large amounts of steel for SUPER cheap.
We can have a welding party!

The health care cost is a massive drain on this country. We can't give services away without getting something in return.
I used to work in customer service. We were trained to not give credits bc it rarely satisfied the customer. It was more of a bandaid and just created a habit to ask for credit next time. Instead we tried to fix the customer and their issues. This had higher satisfaction rates and saved money.
Apply that analogy to welfare. If we give once people will expect to continue to receive. It is not fiscally sustainable.

Is that what you're willing to accept as payment for travel and teaching a bunch of newbs how to weld?

Er trips only account for 2% of medic spending, the bulk of it goes to drawn out end of life care. It's tough seeing a loved one die, but this is where serious drain comes from.

I told my wife that unfortunately this go around we need to expect to see a lot of hate towards the president think about it the country is split 5050 you have to think about it half of the country wants obama to govern them while the other half of the country does not want Obama in office we're going to see retaliation we're going to see hate we're going to see people spewing the hatred that we have worked so hard to come from and unfortunately that's sad but at the same time I don't think Obama should be president either. I just listen to Obama's victory speech and all I heard in there was a bunch of worthless noise. All he to did is toot his own horn on the things that he has done and it didn't say a thing on what we need to do now as a country to move forward to fix our economy number 1 is fix our economy instead he made a joke about how we need to fix the election process and fix the long lines
