I'd like to find a 8274 for around $100-$150 and slowly rebuild it, that way I could paint it to match my jeep

Not bad, but a little more than I'd like to shell out at one time
I know if I build the 8274 I'll end up with a good bit into it, but it's easier when it's a little at the time

yeah. even that is pushing it for me.. but i know I want to go a bit over kill on a winch as I know I'd be winching out stuff bigger then me and can't always rely on a snatch block. Synthetic winch is important to me to keep weight down and for safety. 430 bucks for the recon wouldn't be a horrible choice for me either.. what i'd really like to know is more about this TUFF STUFF Rock Crawler Front Bumper With Winch Mount For 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ | TruckandWinch.com

I know.. It's something I tell people as an option but what I plan to do is use V8 ZJ springs and always tell people to go that direction if at all posible. Nothing wrong with spacers, there just not a ideal solution.. imo

Of course all of this is based on being stock with just having the winch. If you got a suspension lift and gain some sag from a winch the using a spacer is a no brainer cause at that point a stock V8 ZJ spring isn't gonna help

Yeah the last set of BFG's I had I got almost 60,000 out of.
Probably just the JKS, I want this to be more of a trail/camping rig rather than a rock crawler.

I won't see enough trail time to justify the anti rocks either.. JKS disco's will do just fine and they are a great product..

Yes, that traffic in and around Atl is horrendous. I have been lucky enough to hit downtown right at about 5 o'clock. When I head down that way I usually take 75 Straight through. I have to drive another 4 hours south and west to get back to where we used to live. Once you get away from Atl. the trip should be great. Nice temps and no rain in the forcast.
