We had near record snowfall last year. I burnt up one snowblower we had so much. I tell you it's a real beoch trying to find a snowblower in February around here.

Just purchased my first jeep this summer so it will be nice having that to get around instead of the old rear wheel BMW I was driving last year. But I still don't look forward to the cold.

Last winter was my first one here but folks say that there was more snow here thanusual too. Beats 80 degree temps on Christmas though.

80 deg on Christmas? Yuck. Not since I was in the Phillipines years ago. Hated that aspect.

Gets down to the 60's here Xmas time. Freak snows every 5 or 6 years.

Just doesn't seem like Christmas when you can run around in shorts and drive the jeep with the top off.

LOL several years ago it was in like the 70's for a week or so after Thanksgiving in New England. I remember going out and cutting our Christmas tree in shorts. It felt unnatural.

Makes it kind of hard to get into the spirit of things. Wouldn't be so bad if I had spent all my life living in those kind of temps. But I grew up in the north so I kind of missed the wintery weather.

I've always looked forward to a change in seasons wether winter or summer but the older I get the less I look forward to winter. Well actually I look forward to winter. I just don't like going out in the cold. LOL I think It's the fall and spring I look forward to now. No heat of the summer or sub zero of winter anymore. I still like the snow tho'

I could live year round with the temps we are having right now. 40's at night and 70's or 80's during the day. If they could see fit to throw in a couple of snow days in during December and Jan.

I hate the cold... So much. Give me 100% humidity 99 degrees over 20 degrees eight ways from sunday.

I think that works for me. Although 50s at night would be a little better. When you find some place like that let me know and I'll pack up the family.

You can have it. I lived in GA for too long not to detest humidity and heat.

I think I'm going to snowbird when I retire. Go sleep on the beach somewhere along the gulf coast in the winter and sleep on the beaches in New England in the summer. All I need in my 401k is enough for gas back and forth and some food.

YOU KNOW THEM??? Actually that's why I figured I'd be sleeping on beaches under my Jeep.

No don't know them but I am one and I have three.
What makes you think you will still have a jeep? My son got one of mine and my daughter is going to get the other one if I can ever find a transmission for it.

OMG! I'm not alone. My son got my car once already. I've got a daughter who's a senior in HS and I'm watching her like a hawk to make sure I don't lose my Jeep this time!

I'm selling my old bimmer and keeping an eye out for a jeep for her. I didn't tell them I was buying one when I got mine. When I got home my daughter comes out and said "Why did you buy a jeep?" I asked her why and she said "Because I wanted one" LOL I'm not sure why that means I can't have one. Maybe it isn't cool if dad already drives one too.

It's not. We're too old to be cool. My daughter wants a 65 Mustang. Told her too bad. Got a jeep and that's what you get. I was the opposite. I got a 66 mustang for my first car and I wanted a jeep. Once I was out of school, I got a job and sold the mustang and bought my jeep. Wish I still had both of those.

LOL My first car was a 200cc Honda motorcycle followed by a 77 Ford Pinto. Can't say I miss either one. But I had to pay for them and was glad to have the mobility. I rode that motorcycle right through the winter of my junior year instead of the bus. If there wasn't snow on the road I rode. GOD that was a cold winter. Maybe now we get to why I'm not fond of being cold. LOL

Makes more sense now. Though when I was younger, I was impervious to the cold. Spent three years in Alaska and don't remember that it was all that cold at the time. Now all of my outer extremities would break off.

I would walk into the school looking like the living dead. Pale, stiff and cold as death. LOL I think it was at least an hour before I could feel my extremities but it was so much better than mass transit. LOL

I was a spoiled kid. Never had to use mass transit. But I'm sure I would have done the same thing you did if things had been different.

What kind of work are you doing that is keeping you up so late?

I work for an aerospace company on the 24hr help phone. Hot orders for parts for aircraft that need to get back in the air asap. Technical questions to a point. That kind of thing.
