He is my all-time favorite director, "From Dusk 'Til Dawn" is probably one of my favorites. He just goes a little further than most people would feel comfortable with. I like the line in this trailer "I like the way you die boy".

Ironically, from dusk till dawn was not directed by tarantino, but he did write and star in it.

I enjoy all of the homages to other classic films in his movies.

Even though most of the tension in his scenes stem from the audience waiting for someone to get shot, it somehow never gets old

Ok, writer/director if we're picking fly crap outta pepper. Alot of my friends didn't like the Kill Bill vol. 1 because it was a little "over the top" with the blood and gore. I thought he did a fantastic job capturing the vintage dubbed kung-fu spirit.

I agree about kill bill, over the top, but purposefully done in the right spirit.

Didn't mean to nitpick ya, i just don't consider dtd part of his canon, but that's just my opinion.

Hey JK!

Word... Well, I've been here for about an hour now, but finally had time to get online. Haha! We went from 5pts. on the unit to it being completely full today!

Luckily I have the next two nights off! WOOT! Wednesday is the GF's birthday!

How are you doing this evening?

How many beds on your unit?

I'm doing all right, just got off work.

Next two nights off? Guess that means two more nights to not sleep, huh?

23. And 5 security... It's not a huge unit, by all means... But there's only 2 people (3 if you count the triage nurse - who's normally not even on the unit) here at night. Haha!

Nice! What are you going to be doing the rest of the evening?

Oooooh, I don't know. I'll probably sleep at night - but probably not for long. I usually sleep the best with the GF and you KNOW I'll be getting my drink on - so that'll help! Hahaha!

I slept like 5 hours today though! I haven't slept that long in one day for a loooooong time. I feel like I'm on a crazy caffeine high or something - but I've had nothing but water since I woke up... Weird....

Hey Keymo, haven't noticed you changed your sig until now - very nice. Are you sure your not going "Nurse Jackie", or putting something in your water?

We have 27, but usually have 6 nurses and at least one tech through the night.

I'm probably going to read a little and go to bed, purdy fricken exciting.

You're always full of energy, there's something going on with you and your chemistry but you make it work for ya

Is there any good wheeling around where you live?

Karmah is pretty dumb when it comes to most things... But SOMEHOW REALLY REALLY smart when it comes to other things (usually sneaky things she knows she's not supposed to be doing Haha!)

Haha! Thanks! I changed it a day or two ago when I was severely over-exagerrating "symptoms" my J-truck was "experiencing"...

Turns out it was really nothing... Though I did find out today that my key lock cylinder is going bad... Had to grab some channel locks to turn the key hard enough to get it to activate the starter.. Looks like it's time to install that push-button I've been debating about! (Still using the key for "ON" then the button for activating the starter solenoid! )

Hahaha! I HOPE not! The water I was drinking at home was from a purifier the GF keeps in the fridge and the I'm drinking now is Hospital water... Who knows? Maybe they're trying to drug the crazies?!

Sorry... A little long-winded there.... How are you doing this evening, sir?

Yeah.. We always have one nurse and a tech at nights... Sometimes we get lucky and with "high accuity" (sp?) we will get two nurses and a tech. Days are different though - they usually have like 4-5 nurses and 2 techs.

What are you reading?

And sadly... No good wheeling... There's some OHV parks, but they're ALL closed to vehicles in the past few years. My Dad is a General foreman for a company that does power lines and stuff and they're starting a job right outside the city border though. He showed me their job the other day when we were moving the Buick and Dodge and they're going to be cutting cross-country and through woods and stuff and make dirt roads which he said are usually REALLY fun to drive on... He's giving me keys to all their gates. So hopefully there will be SOMETHING to do around here soon!

What about by you?
My Dad actually just got back from a job in KC.

I don't know... I'm thinking about getting some wine and making her a "special" dinner (because I already am the only one who cooks), give her her gifts and then probably just relax... She works Wednesday and Thursday ("normal" hours...) so probably won't be doing anything crazy. Haha!
