It's weird... It should be frightening, and it should cause a fight or flight reaction... And yet that is not what it does to me. I found myself being drawn "towards" it...and not in an aggressive way... Hard to explain...

I think that there is a basis to the Pope's resignation that is deeper than the surface "i am old" explanation.

Why does the Vatican have one of the most "archived" celestial observatories in the world?

It's chicken breast stuffed with asparagus. The other option was some Vegetarian thing - it looked nasty, so I went with this.

Almos tlike when you're tired and driving at night and you get "drawn: towards the oncoming car's headlights? (like you automatically drift over a bit)

My Dad has always argued VERY strongly the there's life elsewhere and has been here. And he's a pretty logical man. I tkink that's one big reason why I believe that there has to be something out there as well.

He used to be a Chopper pilot, and your comment makes me wonder if he's seen or knew of something like that as well. He REFUSES to explain any further than his typical "It would be completely ignorant for us to believe that we are the only planet with life on it"...

I saw them in the cafeteria and thought "YES! Perfect to block Dustin and Phil more" too bad neither are around to see it. Laur probably won't either.
Perfect timing on my part. PS - yum.

It is sorta "dogma" in aviation circles that helicopter pilots seem to see more of the "weird activity" stuff.

The explanations are varied... maybe we are more alert to our surroundings... maybe we are most always vfr and therefore "heads up"... maybe we are so slow and low that we are less of a threat, or perceived as "insignificant"... maybe it's because in a very slow way we mimic the flight characteristics of ""their" machines and are more "interesting"...

lemme guess... it involves more sight and smell... and I'm not talking gross body odor...or the smell of death... I'm talking perfume...Vitalis... or food smells...perhaps a lingering of the person or their experiences or 'earthly loves"...
