Kinda sad. I have no snow to plow. Can't wait for January. I'm taking a road trip... A sabbatical if you will.

Ah...the waiting time where you get paid for sitting, sleeping, and BS-ing... I understand, as I've done that myself

I'm sorry for you bro... My mom passed last year on Dec 12, and it'll always be there in the back of my mind... just do something that will honor their memory, that's the best way to give them respect and love after the fact.

Just keep your head up and keep trucking, it's all one can do.

Its funny in a way. She was.. hmm, she loved the outdoors. We didn't hunt but fished and took EPIC camping trips with the kids. We got to a point where, and this was her, "I want a Land Rover", so we got a Land Rover. I loved it, we loved it. It was her pride and joy. I carry her pics in my bible to church, she's on my phone. I have a girl friend but it doesn't bother her. In our 40's so maturity is a plus. She is always with me. Thing is, she'd probably be pissed at me..."What, you had to wait til I died to buy a Jeep!?!? You sorry *##@@." lol
Life goes on. I have the opportunity, especially after a stroke in spring of 10' then being told before my wife passed in Sept of the same year that I had 6 weeks to live, to pass some happiness on. I've never been vain or proud. Hell I'm happy to be alive. Kids asked "What do you want for Christmas?". I told them..."I want to cook my perfect bird and for no one to get pissed off and try to kill one another."

You've got to cherish the moments you have, at least that what your story tells me, and you've got one hell of a story!

Despite your constant challenges you've kept plugging at it, one foot after another... I'll be honest, I don't know if I was tested that I be able to take it so well...

I'm not trying to bring you down, or reopen old wounds, but thanks for teaching a semi-young buck who you've never met a few things about staying the course.

And I do mean that.

Thank You.

I'm waiting for January. I'm taking a road trip. Not sure where I'm going to go or for how long, 2 weeks at least. My girlfriend won't like it but I have to..have to. Shit I'm not sure. Put certain history and past behind me. I figure from UT I'll go SE through Tx, see my folks, and others. Go sightseeing some civilwar battlefields, etc. Camp as I go.
I don't understand some kids these days. Things go tits up and its all "suicide". I thank my parents for giving me a good old fashioned ass whippin, and knowing fear in that regard, and love being rewarded when I did right. I hate to say this but kids these days are pussies.
You can go forward and succeed no matter what in today's world. Yes challenges are different, thats a given. But you can't be a puppy and just roll over, expect handouts, be offered a job without looking. You can't live..Unless you choose to Live. I chose the latter. Deep thoughts. Probably better over a bong hit I haven't had the pleasure of in 2 decades but I'll settle for a nice glass of wine. I can't wait to hit the road east...maybe go west. Maybe both. LOL

I just got off the phone with a friend living in North Dakota near the Canadian Border. He said that since early this morning the snow has been coming down, it is nearly waist high and is still falling. The temperature is dropping way below zero and the north wind is increasing to near gale force. His wife has done nothing but look through the kitchen window and just stare. He says that if it gets much worse, he may have to let her in.

Coincidence.. My late wife was an INS inspector. She had to shoot a gator that was trying to eat some philippinos that were trying to jump ship climbing down an anchor chain.

Okay, so the question is...why Utah? Aside from the deserty ness that describes a huge portion of Australia. Hell, we don't even have spiders here, misbehaving ones anyway, and no gators. Utah gators are like...3 inches long at best..K, maybe 8" on a good day.
