Well this switch has a hot, load out, and ground....so would i hook the hot from the battery to the hot...the hot from the light to the load out..and the ground obviously to the negatives from the lights?

I'm no help there. Don't think you need a relay for something with that little draw. But you should run an inline fuse.

I am pretty smart at these things (having a very big blonde moment, and it will all come to me later after I spend hours thinking about it) but this confused me...

Hot to Bat, Load out to Lights- Negatives to Ground..correct?

Yeah should only need a fuse on the supply side. Not on the load line.

Yes. That's how I wired my cb.directly to bat. Only disadvantage is when I turn my rig off I need to make sure radio is off. Or will drain bat.

with leds be very sure of polarity! and i would think that a relay and associated headache is unnecessary.

Polarity is not an issue with these, unless the manufacturer screwed them up
