Right on. It use to be better when I first started because we use to "bank" time. So when my shift landed on having the 2 48 hour weeks in one pay we would bank the 12 hours instead it being paid Overtime. So I used to get 4 weeks paid vacaction but someone had to complain and they took it away from use. So now when it lands on having the 2 48 hour work weeks they give me a random day off.... If that makes any sense lol

Oh, ok. I worked that when I first moved to Austin, made it difficult to schedule things like every Monday night or Thursday night. You never have the same day off every week.

Interesting, never seen that kind of shifts before. Learn something new everyday

Makes perfect sense, instead of getting paid in $$ you got time off. That's cool as long as you get enough $. We have to work 24x7 so we get 104 hours of holiday time we can use in addition to our vacation. We just can't schedule vacation during holidays - if you can follow that.

Paul is out of surgery. All of it went really well. The surgeons both said it was very easy as those things go. They did not have to harvest for a graft. Besides a nasty hole in his leg, it is pink and warm. I sent Dustin a text, because I lost the internet connection, and the hospital service is blocking this forum. You are all hard to find in here if he doesn't have this place already up...laugh.

I will tell him when he gets some sense back. I am afraid of what he might have told them while he was under the anesthesia.

Still get the same amount of cash for the year, but now we only get 2 weeks vacation to book plus these random days off that use to be the other 2 weeks. Ahh well just get to work more overtime like this, gonna try to shoot for $100,000 this year
Yea the cokeovens run 24/7, same with most of plant like the blast furnaces and the hot mills. No off switch for them lol.
