That would make sense. They did 4 and 6 cyl diesels in the liberty, and seeing as the Cherokee is a replacement. I think it is going to be a solid SUV. ESPECIALLY if it will be offered with a diesel.

I have an Australian buddy that has a diesel JK. He absolutely loves it, he said it way outperforms the V6. I have always wanted to put a Cummins 4BT in my TJ. That would be so killer...

I got a brand new Ram for a rental, spent about 10 mins fighting with the key when I got it home. Apparently you have to put the gear selector to the "P" before you try to remove the key

The EPA ruined diesels, they used to be reliable, powerful &efficient. Leave it to the gubment to totally ruin something.

OMG there's black smoke pouring out of that truck!! What they don't understand is how less harmful it is than the carbon monoxide coming from their prius.

I gave up.

What they don't realize is that to make a prius, etc destroys more of the Environment than running a gas car for 20 yeard

OH... When I see "Cherokee" I just assume "Cherokee" I am a former XJ driver. But hell yes I think it will be a good SUV. I don't care what anybody has to say about the more "road mannered" jeeps ever made. Jeep has never made a vehicle that you can't throw into the market without dominating capability and performance in its own class.
