I have a 1979 Jeep Wagoneer. It has dana 44 front and rear, AMC 360 v8, 4x4. As far as I know it is stock. Minor rust but there is some. There is a valve cover gasket leak. Starts and runs fairly well. 4x4 works fine. White in color with black interior. Interior needs work. Back window is out but I do have the window. I would like to get $1500.00 CASH for it but am willing to entertain reasonable cash offers. I do not need help selling.
I might head down and pick this up

Valve covers are EXTREMELY easy! Rust is a pain sometimes, sand it down, put a filler in it so that it looks normal, cover it with a STRONG sealer.

Wouldn't it be better to replace it with metal?
If I had to do something like that, I'd want the best possible fix.

Depending on where it is yeah. Bumper, filler and sealer...me personally if I am going to take my time and get it 100%, i am going to cut out the rust and weld in place a new piece

I just think cutting it out and having it replaced would be the best option. I think

Yes, trefoils.
I was going to grab a glass of milk, but by the time I thought about it I was already in my bed and didn't feel like getting out.

I couldn't own something like that...I'd end up spending $$ to fully restore it.
