Was home for less than an hour and my foreman calls me and says there was a leak at the job we had to go fix. Just now getting home. Not too thrilled.

yup
I have re-designed mine in my head. No heim joints.....gonna use a bushing and fab up a bracket at the top (similar to the bottom). Use a pin at the bottom, in place of the torx bolt. Thoughts?

It sounds like a solid plan. As long as the disconnect is easy to do. I need to fabricate something to hold my sb up after i disco.

Good point Donnie. The hardest part about disco's is the re-attachment of the SB. If you could figure out a way to have them "lock into place" as your driving...might be a sellable idea.

But applying the KISS rule, sounds like you have a good idea where you're going. Take pics and step-by-step so others can follow the trail you blaze.

Hhmmmm.....may even keep the torx bolt....won't be a "quick" disco, but more of a CONVENIENT one. Every jeep owner should have a torx set in their rig, anyway......right?

Ugh....hate torx...but it's the only way I can keep stuff from getting stolen around here. Well, only legal way. They won't let me put their heads on a pike anymore. Apparently people get "offended".

Yes. I do. How often do you figure you'll disco? If it's often i'd lose the torx bolt in favor of a pin. Also if your muddy after a run your probably not gonna want to get under to put it back in where a pin would be much easier imo. Pins don't mess up. Bolts can cross thread or strip in time.

Don't know why they'd get offended, seems like great crime prevention tool.
