If she does get her US citizenship then she will be able to keep her Canadian citizenship. It is not a given just because you get married you can get your citizenship. As our INS case worker put it "If she was from Iraq it would be easier, as the US govt. sees it Canada is not that bad of a place to go back to." Effed up.

If Aaron were to move to Canada he could apply for Candian citizenship and it's a fairly painless process, takes about 15 months though. All of the forms are on line and you can do it all yourself, no need to get a lawyer.

Mel would not be able to become a US citizen unless she moved here, and the same with Aaron. Once you start the citizenship application process in either country you can't leave the country.

Is this pretty clear? It's confusing, send your questions my way and I can help!!
Lol, i actually looked into working into the US Right when i was done school applied for à programm in Arizona would have been 6 months in and then back to Canada... They wouldn't even take me for that... Since the American economy is low they have to prove that no us citizen was qualified for that job and I guess they have enough rts in the us

The best option is to go through a "travelling Nurse" comapny. We have a good friend who does this and she has lived in some amazing places, she was just in Malibu for a year. If you do find a place you like they try and keep you there.

Cross-train! Or you can apply for a marriage visa, I forget what they call it?? My wife is a teacher so she qualified under the occupational specialty stuff, she did get her green card before her citizenship.

Lol totally random lol. It hurt for 15 seconds when I got it done and it's an implant... Little metal plate under the skin that's implanted there and you can screw in different jewelry hahaa

She and our son have dual citizenships, actually she has 3 b/c she was born in Scotland. It's like I'm living with a spy.

The end stuck into the skin looks like a cufflink. It has a little thing that "hopefully" goes 90 deg. to the stud when inserted.

I said stud and inserted in the same sentence!
