HA... I hear that

Got to love the rain... and here's why.

Yesterday, on my day off, I washed and detailed the TJ and got it looking uber fantastic... then this little stray kitten comes up out of the woods looking for help. It's wet and cold, so I feed it and pet it since it was supremely malnourished and unbelievably affectionate... anyway I end up hauling butt to take this little purr fest to the vet to get it checked out since it was coughing a little bit. So the vet tests the little kitten, and she tests negative on feline leukemia and feline aids and rabies but she's got pneumonia. The vet wanted to keep her there over the weekend to give her fluids and antibiotics, and I say go ahead, lets make it happen. I'll pay for it, just make sure she survives
.
Long story short, this little fur-ball kept me occupied for 8/12 hours yesterday... so I got to cruise around in the nice weather the the uber classy looking TJ for ... an hour last night? And now today, the day I go into to work to start my week... it's raining. lol.

So, my story is a tiny bit different, but the rain is a pain, nonetheless

So far the vet said she's surviving... weak but getting better. He hopes that she'll be ready to pick up on Monday.

Yes, I've got an extra shift this week so it's 4 on 12 hour vs the 3 12s... so now you can roll your eyes at my bad jokes a day early!

Phil must have all kind of time on his hands to find all that stuff. Now that I think about it.... when you work nights you do tend to have a lot of time to kill.

Yes indeed... that is both the blessing and the curse of the night shift. Time. You get the time to think, time to look around, and time to digest information. Then when you have time off, you have issues adjusting to a regular time schedule.

It fluctuates around here on the overnight shifts... sometimes there is nothing to do for hours and hours, other times it's pure pandemonium. Of course I don't have to tell you that, you already know from experience.

But try telling that to anyone who has never worked a single nightshift in their career...

Mine were only rough when we had bad weather. The rest of the time I sat in a glassed in office and played on the computer.

Yeah that too.

Now when I worked security at the military installation in Ga., The nights were often times crazy there. Especially on the weekends.

Working security for a military instillation / base... I'm sure Friday and Saturday nights kept you shaking your head almost constantly.

No wonder you put up with all of us with such ease....

Yeah this is pretty much a walk in the park. There are some pretty strange people in the world.

It makes you wonder why they're so strange. Mental problems, chemical imbalance... or perhaps one too many hot wings and they're just crazed in their search for a clean restroom...

Had a lady one night that refused to get out of her car. We were doing random vehicle searches. She was cussing out the MP and really raising a stink because she had come through the back of the installation where there is absolutely nothing for 20 some odd miles and she had peed her pants.

Guess she was too scared of all the ritters to get out and find a tree or bush.

She eventually was made to get out of her car.
