Just looks, but I'm also not a fan of the soft 8's

Although, I will admit I love the wagon wheels on CJ's

I just think they look a little to blingish for my tastes. It definitely wouldn't be a deal breaker, the Jeep looks great

yea, one of the first things i'll do will be powder them. Just doesn't look right considering the entire rest of the jeep is black.

That's one great thing about Jeeps, only you have to like it

unless somebody wants to pay for the mods

Ha, yea, my wife has already informed me that I'm not allowed to spend a lot of money 'playing' with the jeep... I give it roughly 2 weeks till I talk her into toying with it.

-lift
-stereo, oh christ i need to be able to plug in an ipod
-who knows?

is there any actual function them? They seem so... unnecessary.

That is a fine looking LJ .... I'd have to agree with Phil on the wheels. Just personal aesthetics. But, I could see myself liking them more and more as time goes on. It's just that those wheels would not be the first style I'd pick if I had my choice.

Lets see... LJ, nice! Better ride comfort on the highway... but if you want to rig it out into the ultimate off road machine it'll take more work because of the longer wheelbase... buuuuutttt if you're not going to do that, and just stick to some regular wheeling, then you'll have more room for stuff! I like the LJs, and I'd like to get on someday.

Black... classic! I'm biased, my TJ is black.

Inline 6... only way to go for a power plant in this thing. It'll treat you well if you give it the same treatment and respect!

Hard top!... for a LJ, this is a must. You can always buy a softtop for the summer (depending on where you live) but finding a used LJ hardtop on craigslist or other forums for good shape, and a low price? forgetaboutit! Even if you take it off on day one and keep it in your basement, it's a good option to have

No spare on the back... eh.... well I didn't see if the mounts were there... were they there?. I like to keep my spare 33 with me in case of a flat... if you're like me then you'll have to get one on there, or get an aftermarket bumper that supports one. If not, then don't... just enjoy calling AAA when the time comes. Just saying.

Interior... Nice. Looks great, and since I also have the grey, I am totally biased as to how good it looks.

All of this can be null and void if it doesn't drive well. Do the normal thing like any other used Jeep purchaser, test it out... test it all out. All gears, 4 wheel low, 4 wheel high.... how much the emergency brake will hold... everything. 74,000 is great mileage, but something could have gone wrong. You'll never know unless you look at the records and test it out.

All in all... 13,000 meh.... talk him down some. It's not an outrageous price for a good looking machine like that, but talking always helps. It also helps that I'm always haggling with the seller.

Best of luck on it.

The unlimited is unofficially known as an LJ... yes that one is still a TJ. It has more room, a longer wheel base which leads to a surprisingly better on-road ride.

Jeep Wrangler - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If you google LJ, you'll see lots of links to a number of 04-06 TJ unlimiteds.

Yea, I looked it up. Been browsing the TJ forums learning. Silly that I'm excited about a Jeep that is going to be less luxury, less MPG, less speed, um, less a few things compared to my current car. I just wanna play with the thing already!

I like simplicity. I'm drooling for spring to get here so I can yank the doors for the first time, put on the spiderweb.... And still have tunes. Sunscreen lotion is in the console.
