some of these guys the emt's bring in, Dustin, I don't know how you guys do it

we had one unfortunate fella that tried to commit suicide via gsw, except he had the gun beneath his chin and angled incorrectly, blew his entire face off. In the trauma bay, his face looked like a bowl of mashed cherries. The surgeons were actually able to make him look human again, in the end. pretty amazing.

still, I wouldn't want to be the first responder to that, and many other trauma's we see come in. So, I guess, thanks for what you do. It's a necessary job that not just anybody can perform competently.

I'm a fan of their stuff after today, those fenders fit very well. Now that I think about it I kinda like the idea of having the adjustable arm on the top. I guess it doesn't really matter too much either way.

Those shocks are pretty cool.

That sounds like so much fun. Jealous!

actually, yes. moving from baltimore to kc, though, seems a little depressing.

and don't get me wrong, I'm not a nurse or aide or anything like that; if anything I'm a glorified secretary.

my dad is a physician and my mother is an RN, and I, for whatever silly reason, pursued the arts, for I am an incarnation of our frivolous generation

I was a visual arts major prior to switching to nursing. That's awesome that you're perusing your passion.

Okay all you nurses, if you have a blood blister under your fingernail --- do you pop it?

Hurts like a mofo.

Don't do it, stay the course. Keep the dream alive. Don't become a beaten man.

Honestly, the only thing that might make me give it up and refocus my energies on a pragmatic career would be if I unintentionally impregnated someone. Then, it wouldn't be about just me anymore.

Though I take every possible precaution to avoid that path...well, every precaution except swearing off women.

It was a weird "aha" moment for me. Always been interested in medical things / anatomy. My favorite days in my visual arts classes were days when we had models to draw. The human body is amazing / interesting.

No sir! Had a patient that picked at a callous and had to have 3 of his toes and part of his foot amputated. Don't pick!
