Your drag link attaches on the passenger side above and by the tie rod. It has an adjustable sleeve. It goes in an upwards slant towards the drivers side about 2/3s of the total width and hooks up to the pitman arm.

What does it do and what are the benefits of upgrading it especially since I don't do heavy rock crawling, if that has anything to do with it.

Check out the youtubes. It's very informative and tells you exactly what they do and what to look for wear wise.

Did you watch the video of the wheels on that JK wobbling back and forth? That's some scary stuff. Don't think I'd be driving that.

If you don't do any heavy wheeling and you're not running 35's, theres no need to upgrade. Stock will be just fine for you.
You can upgrade if you want, my suggestion is the currie set up if you got the coin. But not needed for above reasons.
If you do a lot of rock crawling or are running 35's, an upgrade is highly recommended.
Other than that, just need a good set of tie rod ends and you'll be good to go.

Death Wobble - YouTube
Happened to me when my front tires lost some weights and were unbalanced. Freaked me out.

Rock crawling is never more than a 3 diamond. Did a 5 once by accident and turned around half way through. Had a hard enough time with the first half and the second half looked FAR worse.
So if I upgrade to 35's next year then I need to seriously consider it.

We don't have those rating things here in FL, so I'm clueless there. lol
But, if you plan on going 35's, you'll want to upgrade steering. Even light wheeling can bend the hell out of your tierod or drag link. Currie's set up is what I would recommend, but its almost $500. I won't be buying it. I'll probably be going to cheaper route, but yet still plenty strong, will be the rusty's steering.
Just do some research and some shopping and you'll be fine.

We get a little rowdy. Specially when Mel starts posing for picks and posing platitudes of penile pulchritudinous possibilities.
