And yeah. That was our reaction to the hail. The neighboring city lost 7 of 11 patrol cars. It knocked out the windows and the cars were flooded up to the windows because of the amount of rain we had. I only had about $5K in damage, my Sgt had about $10K to his truck, and another officer had about $12K to his Camaro. We all had cars less than a year old. My Sgt only had 3000 miles on his truck!!

Lovely SE Texas weather. I lived in Port Neches south of Beaumont. We moved to Utah and our house closed exactly 1 week before Hurricane Rita hit. Luckily for the new owners no serious damage was done to the house, just some lost shingles.

Yes, and I refuse to go see it. A.) because its unrealistic as shit, and B.) because I live that work, I don't see it as entertainment.

Ah hah! Most movies are pretty unrealistic. When I was on an aircraft carrier they played Top Gun almost daily, I hate that movie. It is sooo inaccurate, and gay.

To other Navy pilots, yes. This is typical behaviour.

And did flight deck operators dance every time they launched an aircraft?

...I rest my case.
