Ronnie it might be easier to remove the xfer case and take it to someone. Unhook the linkage, remove both the driveshafts, drain the xfer case and then unbolt it from the tranny. I'm not sure what kind of tools you have but you should be able to do it with some plain 'ol wrenches.

I dunno, I'm looking at the exploded drawing Griff put up and trying to figure out how it can do what it's doing.

Prolly. Ronnie if you have a few different sizes of snap ring pliers you can fix it yourself. Xfer cases are easier than a manual transmission. Once you split the case you will see how simple it really is.

It always is. But when the mods issue blanket warnings it becomes a little more "under the microscope". It's been shut down once before, maybe more but that's before my time.

The rule is supposed to be don't post anything you wouldn't want your 10 year old daughter to read. It's all in good fun, but it is still a public forum.

Yeah it's just one thread, but alot of us rely on it from time to time, like when our Jeeps get stuck in 4lo.

I don't trust myself enough to tackle something like that...

You can put together a puzzle, right? Haha! You don't have to be very mechanically savvy to repair a T-case, man. Preeeeetty hard to screw up... It won't fit back together if you don't do it right.
