Still awake. Wondering if I should go yank the snowplow out with the jeep. Watching an old agatha christie flick in the mean time. Insomnia is a haven of sorts.

Then watch this trailer...

So here is my nerd side talking again...I'll admit that I read the book, and I am counting the days to see this film... I can't wait. The good thing is that the screenplay was written by the author so it didn't change much from the book, which was fantastic. I read it in less than 3 days!

Gaack. Too new. Interesting but just a new version of the old movie "Logans Run", well, sorta. I've been perusing the old mystery movies of the 70's stemmed from Sherlock Holmes, Poirot, etc. I get in a groove and wear it out and move on. Same way with books.
I did see "Dream House" tonite and it was a semi trip. Not a bad flick actually.

After reading the book I'd say it's more like the Running Man with a bit of 1984 mixed in.

Yeah, but that film was made before my time. Likeing that and other fun 70s classic sci-fi like Rollerball or Soylent Green, or the Omegaman still dates me

I do love Poirot films though

I also like the Maigret films as well. You've got to like French films, but they still are a good run

A new one I like is "Masterpiece Mystery: Inspector Lewis" on Netflix. Going through the "Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" with Jeremy Brett. I highly recommend it.

Too bad no one has made Doc Savage books by Kenneth Roberson into movies aside from the first book.

Did you ever see the girl with the Dragon Tattoo? The orig, not the remake...

I'd give that .... that and the others in that trilogy

They're on Netflix as well

I used my Xbox to stream them, watched them all in 2 days... Dark films, but good!

Damn. Lets not get into Shrimp. One of my greatest regrets of moving from Port Neches is not being able to buy shrimp from the vietnamese lady in the truck from the side of the road fresh off the trawler.

No time. Monday, Wednessday and Fridays I have to pick up a client to take in to Bowling Green for dialysis. He has to stop for something to eat and be there by 6. So I am up a 4. Gotta be at the office by 4:45.
