So my battery is completely dead, out of nowhere, got a jump and it wouldn't stay on. Check gauges came on and it won't turn on at all. The gauges are doing the funky up and down thing fml.

thats what im thinking, getting the battery tested tomorrow, if it tests fine guess ill get the alternator tested. im leaning towards battery for now.

the thing is, i got a jump and it still wouldnt turn over, so i gave it some gas, then it would stay on but my lights would flicker, if i let off the gas the jeep died immediately and again wouldnt come on unless i got it jumped AND gave it gas. its an 01 so no carb either, im pretty damn confused. also after it died, the gauges would act weird going up and down and the speakers would make a weird noise if i tried starting it.

That's just a jeeps computer!! Seriously though, when I worked for AAA, I had to jump a TJ 13 times and have her hold the gas for like 5-10 minutes until the computer re learned how to idle.

Seriously? I'm still dumbfounded as to why it would die though, nothing was left on that could have drained the battery

Well then alternator will be checked. Thanks guys, if anyone else has other suggestions I appreciate it. Need to get the heep running by the end of today one way or another.

A good phone, be a bit careful though, my brother dropped his from not too much height and although it didn't shatter he has some gnarly scratches.

I got an otterbox to go with it. My son dropped and shattered the droid x I handed down to him, so I gave him my iphone (with otterbox). I like the android market WAY better.....just gotta get back used to it.

Ill get my battery tested, just to start, I'll have to get it up and running and home before I can take the alternator tested, the jeep is currently sitting in the parking lot at work and I of course have to work today too. I'm hoping if it gets up and running my dad can take care pf it, or at least get it home today while I'm at work.

I'm on my 6th day in a row working, I haven't slept well at all and I got ~3 hours last night. I'm running on fumes, if that. I just need this day to be over and get the damn brick home and ill deal with it this week.

It sucks, sadly as tired as I am, I'm most worried about getting the jeep home lol, I have the whole next week off so I'm 99% sure I can get it running like it should before I make my trip to LA.

Funny thing, I got a ride from my manager last night and he had to call me after dropping me off to find out how to get bak to the highway, I live in the butthole of the world it feels.
