Shouldnt harm them at all. If its a more desirable color or something custom it should help. This is what i do for a living

Weird. I have a 12' but it doesn't have a spring assist. I wouldn't call it suede either, heavy canvas yes. Mine won't fold all the way down but I have a mid level cargo rack that sits 3 inches higher than the tailgate that holds it higher. Still see fine out the rear as long as it's not a Prius tailgating me. And I just bungie the rear down to the rack it hangs up on.

They look at it as a negative. Any kind of paint work is usually considered "damage". Basically anything not stock. Dealers don't know how to value good aftermarket work/parts.

I don't care about that stuff. I probably won't repaint it unless I still have it in 2023. If you do it in your driveway with rust-o-leum it might hurt you a little.

Really? I know dealers I've worked with would look at a vehicle and if it had paint work (even if it was intentional and custom), they'd devalue the trade.

I think the premium soft top is new for 2013.

He also says a Mopar lift voids your warranty...

Paint your damn Jeep pink if you want, you only live once and who cares about $$ when you have a pink Jeep.

Funny, I got the line that ANY lift other than AEV would void the vehicle warranty.

Maybe the warranties are different in Canada? If I lift my Jeep and the driveshaft boot gets cut, that's on me. However, if I lift it and the engine breaks...

Also if Mopar sells lifts and portal axles how can that void a warranty if my dealer installs it??

It's supposed to be triple layered vinyl. I've seen one or two on the highway. It reminds me of the 'deluxe' type tops that are found on Lincoln Town Car's and Cadillac Devilles.

My dealer installed my lift and honor the warranty. Even when my T-case blew up.

Nah I'm actually happy with my white jeep now. a lift I will put on if I end up getting into offloading more. That way I can actually justify getting it

All depends on the Stealer, I have a good one and it sounds like you do too. Isn't Larry H. Miller in your neighborhood too?

If its done right how would they tell besides it being some off the wall custom paint. You think they are really gonna take Mil gauge to your rig???

And he also says we will pay you less but then go on to say "fresh" paint and command a premium price

I knew the facts but I confirmed it with the competent ones at the dealer...if they do the lift, you still have a warranty. If I do the lift and something fails that related to parts I added, it's not covered.

It doesn't void the entire warranty. There's an entire thread in the JK section from dealers trying to scare owners.

They look like a better quality material. I'm curious as to how easy it will be once its muddy. My Trektop was a total pain to get mud spots out.

If they install it, they would cover it (depending on the brand of lift).

If it's like suede..man, I'd hate to clean it. Canvas I just pressure wash it.

Lift is a rough country. Actually they didn't/don't do the mods but work closely with Midstate Jeep that does all of their custom work. Incredible guys and so far beyond reasonable it'll give your bank acct. a relief orgasm.

If you get a lift (and better tires) you'll offroad more

I have no idea when it comes to paint work and auto body, but can't they usually spot the masking lines or blending? If its a complete repairs I would think it would be harder.

That...and he's going to take care of you, whether the warranty applies or not. It's all about what gets reported.

It is now that everyone's doing it.

What irritates me is when I see something I like...and then it shows up everywhere.
