Not great, but not terrible.

I'm wondering because I wont be able to do the lift and the wheels/tires at the same time.

I'm going to have to put the lift on and the tires/wheels later.

I supposed I could just stash the money until I have it all saved, but whats the fun in that?

I would wait until you can. If you lift it 3" or more and you're keeping the stock rims/tires, not only does it look goofy but it raises the center of gravity.

Are you trying to go 33" or 35"?

If you're not gonna do any radical flexing, like disconnecting the sway bars you can get by with 35" wheels/tires @ stock height. You might have to trim the pinch seam but it really depends on the wheels you get.

Hello Miss Lauren.
Where's Griff? He usually handles this stuff...

Another tech question: I'm swapping the stock rims onto the old one tomorrow. Will they fit with the AEV 2.5" lift and no spacers?

Well, *I* didn't want a lift since its my DD, however, my $700 foray into the audio system upgrade really sent my partner over the edge. He owned a '98 Sahara with a 3" lift and Swampers pre-me, and he's been after me to get a lift since we bought the new one.

I would personally just like some 33" Duratracs, but I want a 12.5 and I need at least a little lift because I refuse to use spacers... so if I'm going to have to do it, I might as well make it worthwhile and go with the 2.5" to 3" lift.

ETA: And I couldn't even begin to fathom a time when I would need to disconnect anything, not that I would even know how to begin doing that anyway...

If you're not going to do anything really radical look at the Daystar spacer lift. Their 1.75" kit is good for 35's but if you wanna stay with 33's that's even better.

So focus on rims/ tires first. 33"s will fit without a lift. I'm putting my 33's on tomorrow but I won't have the lift until next week sometime. My 33's are 12.50" also.

I'm swapping the stock 17"s from the new one to my old one and taking my 33's back. I just don't want there to be any issues with the dealer.
