Yup. Just the slip joint boot...not the cv like joint boot. That would be bad. Most aftermarket ds don't even have a cover on the slip joint.

I was just wondering if that warranted replacement, or if you just tear the thing off. yeah if the joint boot was toast, well, we'd be talking about adams/tom woods

you don't need that. Neither my front or rear DS have them, and my rear is a tom woods. Just keep it greased and it'll be all good. No need to spend time and money to replace a useless part.

Remington 700 .223 BDL SA with a leupold VX-3 6.5-20x50mm side focus target scope. I love that rifle

Going alright! Got the .22 last night. The Remington is a .223/5.56 rifle. They go for about 7-800, the scope goes for about $900-$1000. It was my grandpas. Could be worth millions, it wouldn't go anywhere. Just nice to know what you have, so research reveals pricing

wow, very nice! had no idea the scope would be so expensive, but I guess that's optics for ya. is that the rifle you learned to shoot with?
