Supposed to have some friends with us but don't think they will make it. If we don't have the dogs may go for a hike to the bottom along the vera, think thats the trail. Or at least part of it.

Yaki, or South Kaibab trail is the one we'll do in the GC.

Capitol Reef is really neat in the summer. Mormon settlers turned the valley there into patchwork orchards where you can go pick your own fruit of various types and pay by the piece or lb. There is a swimming hole sans waterfall but its closed for study by people drowning in an undertow when they jump in at a certain point.

Could be worse, you could be posting in "How to make your TJ more manly" thread.

Yes, born in Lubbock, raised on a panhandle farm.

Sadly. Yes. With pictures of poodles, snarling chihuahuas in mardi gras beads wearing purple sweaters even.

Lived in Port Neches south of Beaumont so I know where Ft. Hood is. Hated the fire ants, crunchy mosquitos and flying tree roaches..oh, banana spiders also. And people here in the desert and Vegas say its hot in the summer. Bunch of whiny babies don't know what hot is.
