He was probly' just going fast, they are so easy to lose & the consiquences are always damage to something

I drive a Jeep! You think I'd drive a grandpa tricycle with a stupid bicycle? LOL.

And no, unlike the Jeep it doesn't MOOSE on the side of it.

Just pretend you are five years old and your dad gave you a baseball bat tucked under your pillow to beat the crap out of whatever is under your bed or in your closet.

Yep, and because of the missus I had to buy two. I found my card has an..uhm, orifice hole. And it puckers. Use a totally different set of muscles using it but since my balance suffers, I find it well worth it.

He is all messed up. I don't know how he did it, if he did a gainer over the edge, or just inside a concrete drainage canal but he disintegrated his friends bike. Used his unhelmeted head to break the fall.

Injuries...20 staples (big ones) in a line 5 inches long holding his scalp together. Hair line fracture on the side of his skull with a bone fragment poking inward. broken occipital bone, broken clavicle, fractured vertebrae in his neck. Lots of road rash, both eyes swollen shut...he's a mess. Don't know about long term effects but he can talk..cusses quite fluently from the pain which is a good sign I guess. Won't eat..I'm betting its the pain killers. Time will tell but I'll bet, hopefully if he makes a full recovery he will have learned a lesson or a dozen.
