Ahh... I see I see...
Are you going to get a hold of the wheels now then? Or are you going to hold off for a while?
Hahaha! Have you decided on the boat or Wagoneer yet?

I agree! I wish I had a shop or garage or something that I could ACTUALLY work on things in... I'd ALWAYS have a project going!

Yeah I couldn't justify spending $1000 at one time, but I guess it's ok over a period of years

I'm gonna try to pick the wheels up this weekend.
I'm still back and forth on the boat, I don't use it as much as I'd like, but it's nice having when I want it

I may put an insane price on it(like $6500) and see if some fool bites

NICE! Take pictures so you can show us/me on Sunday! Haha!
That's where I'd be stuck if I were you... A boat is AMAZING when you want to use it... But sadly can only be used during certain seasons and ONLY on the water.. Personally - I'd go with a "land toy" but I know some people prefer their "water toys..."

Good plan! Just put a high non-negotiable price and if you get a biter, awesome! If not, then it was meant for you to keep your boat and get a Wagoneer later on in life.

Ah... School supplies... That's one expense that I wont miss anytime soon. Haha! I know college is different. but getting books at the beginning of the year was always a killer... WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!

Ooooh... That sucks! Girls are expensive! Haha! Moved in with my GF and SOMEHOW all of the utility bills skyrocketed - not to mention the cost of "groceries" over doubled since that includes makeup and any other "personal products" she needs.. I feel bad for you.

Oh, you'd like that, wouldn't you?

Joking joking! I'm getting sucked into articles about different bedliner products... I want to get my Truck "winter ready" shortly after I get it.. I figured bedlining the undercarrage and the bed of it would be a good first step...
AND an Ignition and Distributor upgrade...

Haha! NICE! Are you going to be doing your whole tub? Will you be going carpet-less? (I'm assuming your're monstalining your Jeep..? ) I've heard good things about it. All of them seem to have their pros and cons... Mainly, I'm looking for something to protect the undercarrage and my wheel-wells...

The bed wouldn't be my reason for using the product - though if I'm going to be using it, might as well hit it up with sime liner as well! Haha!

Did you do a lot of research before getting your Monstaliner? I've read that if you're going DIY, roll-on is better/lasts longer than spray-on... But then again, it's going to be hard to roll/paint bedliner in the wheel-wells.. I mainly just want something to protect from the salt/brine they use on the roads. I plan on doing regular washing throughout the winter to help prevent rusting - but the brine and what-not can't be good for the paint...

Yeah I'm gonna do the interior of the Jeep.
I watched the monsta thread on JF for almost 2 yrs before I bought mine
I've sent a couple of PM's to Magnetman(creator of ML) and he's been nothing but help

Oh! Nice! So you've done quite a bit of research then!

Cool! Well, if you're going to do it - I will too! Haha!
So do you think it would be good for my purposes at least?

The chasis saver may be better for the under side.(not really sure)
I would definitely use it for the bed. The web site has some photos and there's a huge thread on www.jeepforum.com about it. I think it's over 400 pages long

Why would you want to upgrade the ignition???

That is the first thing I would do, I'm kinda jealous.

I just spent about 6 hours getting the swirl marks out of the black paint on my bike. My arms hurt, I should get to a gym or do push-ups or something.

See you guys tomorrow night, I'm beat.

Haha! I was JUST reading about that! I agree... The Chassis saver looks like something I would DEFINITELY want to invest in ASAP. If anything it'd at least be good to stop any current damage (He said there wasn't much at all, but I'd like to keep it that way) and help prevent "winter damage."

I'm taking notes on it right now. I'm also going to be looking into the actual Monstaliner for the bed though... If I can (I'll probably find out soon) I want to use the Chassis saver almost everywhere and then go over it with the Monstaliner in the bed and maybe alight coat in the wheel-wells if I can... The J4000 WILL BE PROTECTED!

My YJ already has an undercoating on the chassis and under the tub - so I don't think anything will be necessary for it - though if I have Chassis saver left over I may give 'er another coat.

Was that sarcasm?? Haha!
I'm just hoping I can afford all of these upgrades/improvements before winter! Upgrading the ignition system can probably wait (unless I start to experience problems) since I can do that work at almost anytime of the year... Though I'd ideally like to have everything completed before it starts getting cold... No garage to work in is kind of a pain...

That's pretty intense! Was it worth it? Haha! Nothing like body-work to make you realize you're more out of shape than you'd like to be.

Have a good night mckey! See you later!

I can't wait to see your trailer finished!

I was looking up digital dashes earlier in the night just for fun... They're pretty sweet - look good/modern, VERY accurate, reliable... - but TOTALLY take away from the classic look... I don't know what to do! Haha! I'm in the same debate about keeping the original radio or installing an after-market CD/MP3 device player... Do I want to keep it looking classic or do I want the modern ammenities?

How's the ER tonight? I don't know about you, but MY night has gone by A LOT faster than last night did...

That'd be a tough decision of the classic/new age.
Work's been great, I'm about to leave an hour early

Yeah... I LIKE the classic gauges... Though I hear they can get a little faulty.. We'll have to see how these ones work for me. The PO said everything seemed to work properly... But he's only driven it a few times (bought it from a friend - who PLANNED on restoring it but then had to move and couldn't afford to take it. That's why there's less than 500 miles on the motor), so I'll have to see for myself after some solid test-driving.

If I get it Friday I plan on putting at LEAST 50 miles on it in the first day.

That's AWESOME! Lucky you! Haha! Well, I hope you have a good few days off! I'll be seeing you Sunday for sure!
