Leonids Meteor Shower

Wednesday morning at 3am is what I've heard to be the prime time to watch!

Does anyone have good plans for this?

Unfortunately it looks like it will be raining in New England, but I don't want to miss it. Does anyone have any recommendations on somewhere within 3 hours of Boston (ideally north, to try and avoid the raid) that would be ideal for watching? I'm talking 2000ft+ ideal.

Someone recommended that I just drive to a ski resort and go up the mountain on the trail. Isn't that illegal? I can't imagine it's okay.

I always thought that was in August.
