Had quite a tasty brew in Germany on my return trips from Iraq & Afghanistan...the name was a year...1482 or some such? Everyone else ran for the Becks, left the good stuff for me

Makes sense. Bill Nye once taught me if I huff an apple when I bite a pear, I would taste apple. And he was right

I have a 4 tap kegerator....that is empty at the moment.

I used to get my cornys filled at a local brewery called Walter Payton's Roundhouse...but there were purchased by Two Brothers and no longer fill kegs.

Recent purchases:
Sam Adams craft pack
Goose Island craft pack
Magic Hat #9

My homebrew. I have a Geary's Pale Ale clone on tap and a chocolate milk stout on tap. In back up kegs I have a Midas Touch clone and Pumpkin beer. I spent most of last summer brewing as I had to build up my pipeline because I was expecting a son who was born in Sept and I knew my brewing days would be limited. Thank god I did.

damn I'm feeling old. I had Goose Island a few months after they started making beer. I was in Chicago running the marathon and afterwards ran into someone who told me there was a new brewer in town that made some good beer.

What sucks is that Goose Island is no longer a true Chicago beer. It was purchased by AB I believe.

I sometimes enjoy the wheat type beers such as blue moon and shock top. After talking to the owner of a beer and wine specialty shop near my house he suggested the Beir de Mars by Lips of Faith. A very tasty beer it was.

Im gonna be honest, being a darker style fan like belgian strong ales, dubbels tripels and quadrupels as well as the occassional stout. I absolutely hate with the passion IPA's so bitter, and bleh.

I do love a good wheat beer and thats as light as i go!

Have fun with that porter or stout by the pool on a sunny 100 degree day lol. All beers have their place and time, except IPA. Ill never buy one of those.

In that case I go with Corona or BL Lime(I know but it doesn't do bad in the heat)

I'll have a nice pale ale or Ipa by the poolside. The bitterness is an acquired taste ill admit. But I still leave most wheat beers for the ladies.

drank 3 of them once, they were so good, tried to get a 4th down but I had concede. My best friend has a storm cellar that stays dark and cold and he has a couple of cases at any given time, one of the only beers I know of that gets better with age lol.
