not sure why, but suddenly i've been able to find oberon at a few places...one store owner said the distributor dropped off 60 cases last week! (for those of you unfortunate to not have had oberon, i'm very sorry..) got myself a six pack and it felt like summer, even though it was -11F

was in Florence, WI earlier this week and picked up a sampler pack of New Glarus Brewing Co. anyone else ever tried them? I thought it was really good, especially the "fat squirrel but brown"

heading to Las Vegas in the morning, anyone know of some good breweries/beer to have out there?

I have a friend that brings me different ones whenever he visits.
I personally didn't care for the Fat Squirrel, but I'm not a fan of nutty beers.
A lot of the rest are good to very good. Spotted cow is a great summer brew. The blacktop IPA is pretty decent, totally naked is good, the apple ale is good but I can only drink one because it's so sweet.

Anyone ever try the Kirkland beer from Costco?

It is contract brewed by Gordon Biersch, CA on the west coast, and The Matt Brewing Company, NY on the east coast.

My son lives in Milwaukee, so I'm up there fairly often. New Glarus has some good brews. Spotted cow is on tap almost everywhere up there. Pretty good stuff. I had some Alaskan Amber when I was there last time. I wish they sold it where I live.

Haha, I'm more interested in the beer and food!
Only reason I care about the game is because it will be on my brand new 119in projector that was just installed a few days ago!

But still, beer and food win out on that too...

The best thing about new glarus...they are pop too and the labels just float off! Easiest bottles to delabel I've seen so far.

Beer thread

Seeing as most of us like to enjoy beer, figure, why not a thread about beer?
It will also help shine some light on some other kind of beers that some of us may have never heard of. Me personally, I like Ales and Lagers.
A few of my favorites are Shock Top, Blue Moon, Hoeggarden, Bold City Brewing's Duke's Cold Nose Brown Ale, and Pinglehead Brewing's Pinglehead. The last two are local brews. They have more but have yet to try them.

And of course you have the usual budweiser, bud light, yuengling, and such.

So, what do y'all like?
