like X... said. You can get one with Linux. If you really only use it for browsing it would be great for you. Stable, functional, free. And it would be a change from Windows without having to pay for a Mac.

Pretty sure...The aluminum cases are designed to be a heat sink, hence the heat. It really does keeps the fans off.

Mine can get warm if I am crunching code, and or having Aperture working over time on a batch alteration on a library.

But others may have different experiences, maybe I am just lucky with mine.

Personally I love the mac book pro over my other laptops. BUT having said that, my desktops are Frankenstein like comps running Linux.

Idk, I have never owned a Apple laptop, but I have a Dell in my lap right now and an Apple Iphone on my Chest as I lay here on the couch and type this

Anywho I like my PC alot of cool programs, I can add and build my computer, and can do practically anything that a Mac could do. Mac's I think are popular because they are user friendly. They dont need any help to keep going. But with people that like to add things and work on stuff theirselves. PC is the way to go.

I wouldnt mind a mac, but I'm upgrading to a Falcon Northwest Fragbox
1980 CJ7
3.9L Cummins POWER!
Follow my build, its cool and stuff:]

I'm on my 3 year old macbook right now. I use it for graphic and web design, surfing the net, watching netflix instant, and anything else on it. I think it's crashed twice on me in the three years, and I still get 3+ hours of battery life. When this one does die, or can't handle the upgrade to Adobe CS6 (when it comes out in about a year or so) I will definitely get another MacBook. I took the wedding vow 'til death do us part' with my mac. For what it's worth, I use PCs with windows and linux at work, so I do have significant experience with all three OS's.
