You are my new favorite person on WF! Looks delicious, in my experience the worse it looks the better it tastes. Least with my fathers food.

Another great homemade snack like that is chocolate covered cherries. One of my exes made them for my OMG they were good. But thats if you like chocolate coved cherries.

Hey J, if you temper the chocolate it'll end up glossy. And mini muffin cups work nice for candy. I think they look great though, homemade candy is always the best. Last year at Christmas Cain didn't get to experience my insane baking and candy making.... this year I plan on sugar shock for us and all the neighbors.

when i looked up the recipe, it said that the chocolate can be tempered, but did not explain how. is tempering easy? i am a terrible cook, so the easier the better.

All you really need is a candy thermometer. It's just a process of heating and cooling. Sort of like tempering eggs when you have to add them to melted the butter.

I liked this set of instructions when I looked online...

Tempering Chocolate - Kitchen Notes - Cooking For Engineers

Seed method, the marble slab method is messy and takes too much room. It's all about getting a fine crystal structure.
