Mall Crawler Set Up Questions

I wanted to build a mall crawler and I have a few questions.
  • When it comes to stairs, I think I'm fine, but what setup do I need to handle escalators?
  • Do you recommend a louder horn if crawling malls when they are open and filled with people?
  • While driving in malls, will wider or thinner tires work best on linoleum flooring?
  • If the mall cops object to your mall crawling, do you recommend running or just pulling over and bribing them?
  • Topless, hardtop, or softtop?
  • Is it considered proper to stop while mall crawling and shop or do you think I should just drive straight through?
  • I don't see strip malls as being crawl worthy. What's your opinion?
  • Indoor malls or outdoor malls?
Thanking you in advance for your helpful suggestions in the future.

Only use the side by side escalators, the ones set up in opposite directions are probably too narrow.
Use your CB PA speaker instead of horn.
Id go wider tires.
Id say just run over the mall cops.
Topless
Probably just window shop, you might get your new duds stolen in your topless Jeep at the mall.
Avoid strip malls unless it is one with a church, even then, only Sundays or Wednesday nights.
Indoor malls only, its so much more of a true "Adventure"

Good luck on your Mall Crawling!!! If I see you, I'll be sure to wave!

I'd say a REAL train horn would be best. People will be more inclined to pay attention to that than another loudspeaker in a mall....

And i try to avoid strip malls whenever possible.... Just not as exciting

Do you think there'd be a benefit to a set up like this:

I'd say hardtop, less chance of somebody dropping something from the upper level and it landing in your Jeep...

Never thought about it before, but I've mall crawled plenty! Used to work for the local Jeep dealer and there were several times where we would rent a space inside the mall to park a JK or a Grand Cherokee. Mall cops had to guide me through the mall and the early morning senior walkers would always glare as I drove through!

Ever blow the horn to see how many drop and clutch their chests?
