I had to share this with my military friend on Facebook. She is going to be happy to see this to the point of tears. Seriously.

Thanks for sharing.

It would have been a good story to hear if not for the local police involvement. I think the WBC is about as offensive an organization as I've ever heard of, but they have every right to do what they do. Almost all the news out of the Middle East has to do with governments suppressing protests, and now a story of the same thing happening here, albeit without the violence. Just doesn't seem to me the best way to honor someone who gave their life for this country.

Yes they have the right, but we also have a GOD given right to choose and do as we will, no matter how horrible, mean or good it may be.

Some people are simply alive because it is illegal to shoot them

That is fantastic. Good for that town. I can't imagine going to pay respects for a family member or friend who died in the line of duty only to see these scumbags protesting it. Hope that entire cult dies in a bus accident.

Its beyond me how those people could disrespect a member of the service and his family like that have. They should be Honoring him. Agreed with the OP. They all need to be taken out in a field and shot. Good for Brandon.

This needs to become the norm. We americans have to start doing the right thing, our government is not capable of doing or even interested in what is right anymore. Go Brandon!

If they have a right to protest so do the rest of us. Pay back is a female dog where I come from. Glad to see that people are starting to step up and mess with their plans. I know if they ever plan on coming any where near here I'll gladly preform acts of civil disobedience to stop them. Might even get in a hit or 2.

I don't know what disgusts me more about WBC. Their arrogant disregard for human decency, or their distortion of the Word of Jesus Christ.

The good news, I suppose, is they have to answer for their actions someday, too.

When the law can't take care of em the citizens will. I love this story, and this is why I love the (nonextremist) people in the south. They get stuff done. Have you guys heard of the Patriot Guard? They're combatting WBC too. Ill find a video.

Check these guys out. This is the definition of patriotism.

The cops are part of the community also. What they did was just fine.

Protesting belongs in the streets not at a funeral.

In think they should send them to Iraq to protest. Put a parachute on them and kick their azzes out in enemy territory. It would be OK with me if they forget the parachutes

Nicely done. I get the first amendment rights and all that, I really do. But there's a time and a place for it, and a funeral for someone who gave his life for our country isn't it. Those idiots at Westboro wouldn't have those rights if it wasn't for all of the people who are willing to put their lives on the line to defend them.
