i would love to see the dbacks take it all the way this year, but i dont know if they can. i voted red sox. i dont like the sox, but they've got a real good team this year....some of the best starting pitchers in the game(beckett and bucholz to name two). and they've got good power to drive in runs. yanks have a great line up for offense, but i think their pitching lacks just a bit....wang had a sorry outing today and ya just never know how clemens is gonna pitch(damn the age). as for the dbacks, we've got a good line up.....no one that really stands out over anyone else, and the only player hitting over .300 is the 4th spot starting pitcher. but...... they've been the underdog all season, so you just never know what they might do.
so i see dbacks and rockies for the NLCS(will be a good series) and Sox and Yanks for ALCS(classic rivaly). will be alot of fun to watch.
and i'd love to see dbacks take the sox in the world series.
<------- Born and raised in Boston. Goes to Fenway at least once a year and usually heads down to Tampa for Sox spring training each year as well.
Red Sox have a VERY good squad but it depends solely on Dice K. Too many innings for him this year and his arm is tired. If he can reach back and find 4-5 more good games then we've got a fighting shot. If not.... it will be tough. Beckett will be nails as usual (6 career postseaon starts - 3 Complete Game Shutouts - 1.74 ERA). Schilling should be able to dig back and show up for most of his PS stars as he's playing for a contract right now and an implosion in the postseason could cost him MILLIONS.
To the guy who referred to Bucholz... he's been left off the postseason roster due to arm fatigue. He's done for the year but you're right in that he should be a great #3 starter for boston next year.

As long as its not the the california los angeles angels of anahiem california, the cubbies or yanks I don't care. there's plenty to like about CO, AZ, BOS, and CLE.

A perpetual work in progress. Too much to list, not nearly enough to matter.

The Rockies are the hottest team in MLB right now. They have won 17 of the last 18 games. They are also 10-8 over the Dbacks for the regular season. The Rockies - Dbacks series will be a tough fought one - no sweeps here! If Helton turns on watch out!
I agree with you on everything that the D-back- Rockies should be a great series. With Home field advantage it should help the D-backs. I am not sure either will do well against the AL Champ as that league just seems stronger for the last couple years. But Cardinals won last year
