Mounting a video camera in the Jeep???

Anyone have any tip or suggestions on how to mount a video camera in the Jeep??

Find a bolt that threads into the tripod mount on the camera, and use a hose clamp (or 2 or 3) or a tube clamp to tie it to the roll cage. If you want to keep everything inside the Jeep, you could do something similar and mount it to the dash.

I was thinking of a roll bar mount. Anything has to be more steady than my wife trying to hold the camera still while we are wheeling...You can't stomach a video made by her!!!

I don't know about that. It's REALLY hard to get good video from inside a Jeep on the trail! The only ones that really turn out great are the ones that involved rolling the Jeep down big obstacles!!!! Those are always fun to watch!!!

Have you considered buying a video camera that has the latest "stabilization" technology? Mounting the camera to a fixed point will elimiate a good deal of hand shake but the camera is still going to bounce around.
