Movie Catch-Up

Here's a very strange scenario for you...

Long story short: my brother is finally getting a divorce (which is actually a good thing). In talking to him we realized that his wife has not allowed him to, among other things, watch any real movies for the past 17 years. (yes 17 years) If it wasn't a Disney or related flick...he hasn't seen it.

He missed Saving Private Ryan, Philadelphia, the Matrix Series, the Blade Series, 300, Band of Brothers, anything with Jackie Chan, anything with Jet Li, etc. The list is HUGE! The last real movie he remembers seeing is along the lines of Die Hard part >1<.

So here's the odd question: since he's been out of the picture for 17 years and wants to "catch up" on movies...what would you recommend?

Seventeen years? Oh, this man needs a coming out party. Holy hell... I hate to imagine what else he's missed.

She reminds me of my home economics teacher in high school. Her 19 year old son was not allowed to watch cable tv or any movie that wasn't a Disney movie. I felt really bad for him and his siblings.

Anyway get him a netflix membership and let him pick for him self?

Busty Cops II? Now that's what I'm talking about TINY.

EP 1-2 were not bad but EP3 was horrible and GL really ******* ******* his fans by packing two movies into one.

I just think the poor boy after 17 years deserves a little freedom.

They wouldn't have named it busty cops then. Little Bitty Mean Kicking your Ass with a Smile Cop would have been the title.

I think there's more to this divorce than missing movies, I hope.

You already mentioned one of the best ones: Band of Brothers (with surround sound).

Of the pre 3 I liked Chp 3 best. it was nice seeing crybaby Annakin destroyed and Darth Vader come to life. Chp 4 is my favorite though. Saw the original first week out in Surround Sound on a real (giant) movie screen.
