Come on, I know you all have them. What movies do you just have to watch at Christmas time?

Gremlins! the most under-rated christmas movie ever.

and that clay-mation Rudolph movie the one with the elf that wants to be an dentist and Yukon Cornelius the guy that likes to lick his pick, and the island of misfit toys.

Ok, I can understand, the "Shining" is very Christmassy in an odd, warped, snowy, scary, creepy sort of way....Heeeeeres Jaaaack !

Charlie Brown just oozes Christmas spirit, as well as Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer in claymation, Go Abominable Snowman!!

I'm playing Christmas music in the office right now, my co-workers love me. Perry Como - you rule !

I'm dreaming of a White Christmasssss..........

yup. I like to wrap presents while I watch Jack fall into the depths of insanity and chase his family around with an axe.

(Oh, and the original Shining, not that new one. That one sucked even though it was closer to the book)

it was a mini series that came out like 10 years ago or something like that. the guy from "wings" was in it. and they went more into his insanity by showing him talking to all the old guests that are dead.

but why??!?! not really sure. same reason they make alot of movies they shouldn't.....$$

They made it because Stephen King, who wrote the book, wanted a movie that more closely resembled what he'd created. Unfortunately, it was not only mis-cast, but lots of what was in the book just didn't translate visually. The most frightening aspect of some things is what you imagine. Once you see it, it's not all the scary. And who could top Jack??

Scrooge. Ahh some one I can relate to. I also like Polar Express and White Christmas. BTW the new Shinning was filmed about 35 miles from my home. Its the Stanley hotel in Estes Park, Co. It sits right behind the Safeway in downtown Estes. So much for the remote location.
