My friends suck

Rant on

I had this sweet camping trip planned for this summer but all my friends seem to have better things to do than hang out in the great outdoors. Some just said no from the get go and others who said they wanted to go bailed out on me one by one.
Dear all my pals, you suck

Rant off

I know how it feels. Seems a lot of folks don't like hanging out in the great outdoors these days. My friends get jittery without their tech crap it seems. I love it though, no cell phones, no computer, no cable, no worries.

I have noticed that the past couple of generations seem to be non committal on plans. This also seems to be the trend in contracts and and agreements. You do not make plans anymore you make tentative improbable plans.

Thanks for the empathy guys. The story goes like this. My wife does love being outside with me. Our favorite place is Moab and Telluride, but she just wont do the camp in a tent thing. So anyway, I got an extra week of vacation this year and need to burn it so I planned this sweet trip up to wilderness Maine and asked all my pals. I ended up getting three more dudes to go, one with a second truck so we were all set. Then one dude just up and bails. The dude with the truck found something better to do, I guess (he never said WHY he was bailing) and the third dude just broke up with his GF and had to move out so he has too much going on with finding a new place to live and junk. Its not like we started to just talk about this either. I have been planning it for months and the invites were out since like December.
Wankers. All of them

you've already planned the trip and have everything in place....

Make it an adventure.

Post a listing on Craigslist...and see who/what responds.

Could be entertaining.

I don't think I'd trust being in a secluded area with people I met solely from CL
