You might have to pry it from the block.. the tranny should be set with dowel pins that slide into the 'fins' of the block.. they were a PITA when I pulled my motor the first time.. second time was easy cuz I put antiseize on them.. is yours a manual?

You sure that you got all the tranny bolts? When I pulled a turbo400 off a sb350 I think I had to tap it loose with a rubber mallet and pull straight back because of alignment pins. Again... its my memory like my imagination. Everything is peachy there. Lol

There are 2 bolts up top that are a pain to get out.. they're a 'reverse torx' type of bolt.. 6 point star if I remember right... I could be wrong on the ba10 tho

So... a friend called my jeep a girl jeep today. Told him I can't afford to make it as capable as his TJ rubi with my payments for the next few years.

The next gen dana 44s are garbage unless you modify the crap out of them.. 4:1 low range isn't suitable for a lot of offroading.. rocks maybe.. or undergeared axles with big tires.. otherwise you have to start out in 4th gear to go anywhere..

I had a chance to get a tcase with a terra 4:1 and fixed yoke for a screamin deal but passed it up cuz its not worth it.. only way id want that low of a range is if I had a twin stick tcase with several low ranges to pick from..

Not specifically hating on jks here cuz thats not what im getting at but I even saw an article on jkowners the other day where they put a ng d44 into a non rubicon and the author pointed out that with big tires they love to bend and destory the outer C's after a few wheeling trips . which makes sense because they're a d44 center section only.. the rest is d30/35 crap.. the guy ended up putting an outer sleeve kit and truss on it and double trussed the top and bottom of the C's

I'm told that I shouldn't have to worry about the axles unless I'm jumping or wheeling hardcore. I will see if I can drag a pic from his fb here. His is borderline DD.
